Gallo vs Sagrado: [OK] Should’ve been one fall, the extra falls didn’t add much. Finish was hard to understand. Gallo is just not that good. Sagrado didn’t have a noteworthy match for him and still seemed at a higher level. Crowd was not into most of the match, which is not exactly unusual in this arena but it was oddly quiet during this match with little reaction to the near falls. They did get into it during the forearm exchange but went away from it. OK is probably generous.

Blue Panther, Blue Panther Jr., The Panther vs Misterioso Jr., Puma, Tiger: [GOOD] Pretty solid trios match with a big emphssis on mat work in the first fall. Surprisingly, the rudos were really the ones initiating it, even though Blue Panther and Blue Panther Jr. came back in the end. Second fall was less interesting to me but it really picked up again in the third fall. Tiger and Puma especially are such great dislikable heels. Puma blowing kisses while trying to unmasked the Panthers was amusing and I hope we get a Blue Panther/Puma match since they keep matching up. I would’ve like to see more The Panther – that’s so annoying to type – but that’s always the case. I wonder if there’s maybe a plan to purposely give Blue Panther Jr. more of the match to help him catch up. It felt like it a bit here.

rudo teamwork
more superkicks. Poor The Panther.
The Panther gets some revenge
Zacarias 619 is back in full effect a lot

Marco Corleone, Máximo, Valiente vs Felino, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero: [ok] Short match that’s even shorter than it looks because of the cut always to the bodybuilding competition and didn’t have much going for it. Heavier than usual on the comedy, with Zacarias getting far more involved than usual. Ultimo Guerrero has a trios formula too and he was checking moves off his list here. I’m not sure he really needs to the boosted sit in every match but he sure thinks it has to be done. First fall was one of those quick Peste Negra brawls where I had to rewind to see the finish because it happened so incidentally and didn’t feel like a finish. Felino’s 360 sell of Marco’s punch was amusing, and Maximo’s splash as pure comedy. Valiente had a pretty bad slip on a springboard but seemed to be okay by the end of the match (though I think that meant he skipped his dive). Cameras totally missed a Máximo dive and crowd didn’t react all to UG’s foul.

top rope splash?
Felino has really bad aim
