recap

taped 2014-11-04 @ Arena Coliseo Guadalajara

walking is tough

Smaker, Soberano Jr., Starman vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Guerrero Negro Jr., Ráfaga: [OK] Just a normal match with these guys; it feels like all the segunda matches are going to be a bit lesser and it might be because the way they’re told to work them. (Whatever the reason, the triple dive fake out here looked quite lame.) Soberano was by far the standout, to the point where I thought they were actually building the match to make him look good. And then he just about died on the finish and that was the end of that. Highlights include JCR comparing Rafaga to any slightly fat luchador he could come up with, and JCR inventing a years long Arkangel/Starman feud AND suggesting it will end in a mask vs mask match.

Soberano sault
Guerrero Maya Jr. takes flight
Buca Storm
Kraneo fighting spirit!

Ángel de Oro, Gallo, Omar Brunetti vs Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Pierroth: [OK] Another ordinary match that was mostly a one match show, except the one man was Kraneo this time. Kraneo on offense, Kraneo taking big bumps, Kraneo taking small bumps, Kraneo mimicking the edecanes, Kraneo can do it all. Magadan confuses Omar which Leo, which I can actually see, except it’s a taped show and they could edit that if they actually cared at all. They do not. They also could use a way to shoot Kraneo’s hip attack in the corner which doesn’t totally expose it. This had the best looking Mr. Aguila jumping spinning heel kick in a while, so there’s that. Angel de Oro only got in half of his usual spots, tough day for him. Omar blew something so badly in the third fall that Magadan started to laugh. I have no idea what he was trying to do. Gallo and Pierroth do start off against each other, if that’s the particular thrill you’re looking for in life.

Kraneo an excellent ring card girl as well
Pollito splash
Mije Splash for the win

Casas is evasive

Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Máximo, Titán, Valiente: [below average] a no man show to end it. Or a no show? Whichever, Felino & Niebla completely goof around and there’s not enough time here for anyone else to save it. Titan and Valiente are wasted (using a different definition than the rudos) and so is the time of anyone who watches this. Máximo and Negro actually have a great 20 second fight to end the match, but then it ends with a foul for no reason and it’s all so dumb.
