Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado: [Below Average] I lost it on Sagrado’s finisher. That roll sets new heights for ridicolousness. That was amusing, the rest of the rudo act is still unappetizing. If CMLL didn’t let most of it’s roster sit fallow most of the time, This trio getting a small push as a unit is frustrating because of how CMLL lets much of the (much superior) roster sit fallow most of the year. It’s tough to give theses a chance and they’re not doing anything really to change minds (and really the técnicos didn’t do much either.) Sagrado’s trying. Finish was awful, Pierroth forgot how to do a small package. All matches existed simply as platforms to shill the 10/31 and 11/02 shows anyway.
Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys: [OK] This was not much. Someone worked harder on the Bullet Club knockoff logo Rey Bucanero was wearing than Rey Bucanero worked in this match. Rush was back in Bufete del Amor mode, without the good teamwork they had by the end of their run. Rush and Terrible had a brief remembrance of a better times (for Terrible, at least), but we also had Vangellys messing up armdrags. Back to back matches ending with an unseen foul. I had this ahead of the last one but not both much, and you shouldn’t spend time with either.
Volador Jr. vs Shocker: [OK] Shocker was pulling his shots so far away that it was tough to take the match seriously at times, and Shocker’s all about being a serious angry old man now. Volador was selling big for every one of Shocker’s shots, but (unusually large) crowd wasn’t really into it. Volador found a way to do a third fall of near falls even with Shocker, though it required a lot of cradles some time to stand around and do nothing in between. The lack of reaction to some of them was sad. I didn’t think the match was good, but a lot of people came to this show to make no noise during the match. Finishers were landed and escaped and still it didn’t matter much. They did react a bit to the finish.
