Fresbee & Leono vs Apocalipsis & Camorra: [below average] A match reminding us that these people still exist. I’m not sure why they exist and I’m not sure why they know either, but there they are. Did Apocalipsis lose a little weight? Is there nothing else to talk about here? The recording stopped for a moment and then sped up, and it did not seem like any harm to the match. Crowd didn’t care about this match any more than Camorra cared about wearing a shirt that fit him. This gets a below average not because they screwed anything up (though they did), but because we’re all in trouble if this is considered OK.
Esfinge, Sensei, Starman vs Artillero, Canelo Casas, Súper Comando: [OK] A much more lively match than the opener with some good performances. Boby Zavala is cool and all, but if the Revolucionarios are a still a thing that exists and are looking for a third member, they need to call Super Comando. He was better in the first fall than everyone in the entire last match put together. I would risk breaking up the elite military unit to get him something better to do. Esfinge’s cradle looked great and Canelo Casas had a good dropkick.
Hombre Bala Jr., Stigma, Súper Halcón Jr. vs Kamaitachi, Metálico, Okumura: [OK] Better than the last one, only missing some excitement or (imagined) stakes. Kamaitachi continues to be fun and he and Okumura have developed well as a team. I don’t want to see them versus Delta & Guerrero Maya (again), but it would be a good match. I think Okumura (or maybe Bala) forgot how to do a casita in the third fall, though. Metálico was in a mean mood. Super Halcón Jr. tried new spots, getting the message only about four months too late. Bala’s still the better guy on the team.
Dragon Lee vs Raziel: [GOOD] maybe only a notch below the best En Busca de Un Idolo matches, and not farther than that. They had a little more time and were worked at a bit faster pace, but this was high end for the usual Tuesday lightning match. Raziel and Dragon Lee were good from the start, with fun mat work. Lee mostly held his own, outside that point where it looked as if Raziel was going to separate Dragon’s head from his body. When Dragon Lee wanted to sped it up, Raziel kept with him, pulling out all of his big moves for the occasion (minus his finisher). Dragon Lee did just enough to outdo him with the crazy tope and the big double stomp at the end, but this was fun back and forth match
Blue Panther, Fuego, Super Porky vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Hombre sin Nombre, Pólvora: [OK] A come down from the last one to be sure. Not a complete Porky match, though one at times, more doing a few trademark spots and getting on to the next match. The finish, Panther catching Barbaro and Pólvora in back to back armbars, was a surprise only in that it was so little at the end of this. Tigre Hispano helpfully wandered in the path of Fuego’s dive in third.
Atlantis, Máscara Dorada, Titán vs Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Rey Escorpión: [OK] Short match after a long show, it seemed like they were in a hurry to get things done form the start. Pretty one sided win for the tecncios, which meant they got to do a little bit more than usual. That made it interesting, though not enough to recommend watching. Guerreros might want to think about no longer giving Mascara Dora the flying sit on the ramp, since that always leads to him running down the ramp and killing them. Titan using a Mistica into a cradle was sure weird. Niebla Roja finally realized he could just move of the way for Titanics, a giant leap in rudo logic. Gran Guerrero spent the first fall looking for revenge on Atlantis; when it came for the third fall feuding, it was Rey Escorpion and Atlantis instead. Maybe Atlantis had better thoughts. Dorada looked great in this third fall sequence.
