***52nd Anniversary of Lucha Libre in Estado de Mexico***
1) Metaleón b Araña de Plata
2) Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo b Apolo Estrada Jr., Avisman, Liderk, Rayan
3) Chicano, Trauma I, Trauma II b Dr. Cerebro, Emperador Azteca, Negro Navarro
The Traumas went after their father their whole match and more after the match. Black Terry tried to calm them down and the Traumas attacked him too.
4) Canis Lupus & Eterno b Danny Casas & Oficial 911 [super libre]
Everyone bled. Danny Casas turned on 911 after mishaps earlier in the match.
5) Cien Caras Jr., Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Máscara Año 2000 b Hijo De Dos Caras, Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Súper Nova
Rayo/Mascara Sr. challenges, as usual.
6) Toscano b Veneno [hair]
Mascara Ano 2000 and Rafy were seconds – except Rayo de Jalisco replaced Rafy at the last second. Veneno bled a lot. In the last fall, Mascara attacked Toscano and Veneno covered him for an apparent three count, but Rayo alerted the referee to the cheating. Veneno argued the decision and Toscano cradled him for the win. Toscano took 2/3.

At least as far as I can figure, this is the first time Veneno has lost his hair in 10 years. I feel like we must be missing one because it seems crazy. It’s also the first time Toscano has won a hair match in 8 years. They probably should’ve built that up for more than three weeks.

There are a lot of good bloody pictures in Black Terry’s photos, but I thought maybe they were too much for a Monday morning. Traumas force feeding Navarro popcorn is good family fun. That tag match should be good.

There are rumors about Bellator (MMA) having interest in El Patron Alberto fight for them. (Wrestling Observer mentioned this in passing this week. On one hand, lots of money. On the other hand, how does Alberto have time to do everything he’s already doing? Serious training for a MMA fight would take him out of active lucha libre participation. But again, lots of money makes a compelling case.

The Lucha Underground ladder match is said to be a 22 minute segment. That’ll be great, just be ready for five breaks in the first 38 minutes. (And also Super Fly debuting this week with his mask.)

Changes! Last night’s Guadalajara show was apparently the final Sunday show* and the secondary Guadalajara show will now be on Fridays. The Sunday shows have lately only had six DF luchadors, which is the same case here. I’m not sure if Friday vs Sunday makes a difference, but the new (mystery) person in charge is making changes. The knock off of this is the CMLL luchadors who would be working this shows are now available to work other places on Sunday (and there aren’t as many other possible shows to be working on Friday nights.)

The problem is all of those four guys are also in the Friday night Arena Mexico main event. It’s not possible to work both of those shows. I assume they’re getting pulled from Arena Mexico but nothing’s been said as of yet.

* – until they change their minds about this.

Idolo Jr. is a new name here.

CMLL (SUN) 12/14/2014 Arena México

A show. Dragon Rojo versus Polvora is just the Hat at work; they’ve completely forgotten the Revolucionarios, much less that they broke up.

Terrible (and the top rope) defeat Marco Corleone

Sangre Azteca replaced Okumura on Monday. Tecnicos took 2/3.
5) Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., La Máscara b Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Pólvora Atlantis, Dragon Rojo Jr., La Mascara vs Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Polvora, on DailyMotion (posted by thecubsfan)
Tecnicos took 2/3.
6) Terrible b Marco Corleone Marco Corleone vs Terrible, on DailyMotion (posted by thecubsfan)
Terrible took 1/3, the last when Marco collapsed while running the ropes and Terrible covered him. Marco was stretched off.

The word on Twitter is the rope snapping into his neck caused Marc0 to lose feeling. They’re able to capture it on the replay. That jolt to his neck left him unable to move; he was fine a few minutes later but they were smart to just end the mach when they did. It’s too bad, because it was looking like a good match and that’s obviously not the finish they had in mind. There was another escape drill – this time earthquake – right after the show and it just was an eerie way for things to end.

Same deal with the Terra feed as usual in Arena Coliseo: really spotty for the first half of the show and then pretty steady after that. This is the last Sunday Arena Coliseo show until mid January, so it shouldn’t be a problem for a while. Women’s match seemed good from what we could see, and the segunda continued the feud there.
