Jennifer top rope huracanrana

Dinastía, Jennifer Blake, Octagoncito vs Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Psycho Clown, Taya Valkyrie: [GOOD] Enjoyed the mixed tag. This was very much the técnicos match, and they all got their moments. Jennifer looked good in this match and survived a Mini Abismo nose attack. Dinastía got in a few nice spots. He’s been drifting around with nothing to do most of this year, but he’s at least winning (and getting the pin) when he is on TV. Crowd was a little confused about Mini Psycho Clown being a rudo – he’s got at it but maybe they need to switch his gimmick if the regular guys are técnicos. They also reacted strong to Mini Abismo cheapshoting Jen, and were awkwardly quiet when Dinastía was doing the same to Taya. Taya tried to make it work by being the evil one but the dynamic seemed off for this crowd.

I didn’t intend for these to all be Blake highlights, but she demolished Taya on this tope
La Parka infinity

El Patrón Alberto, La Parka, Myzteziz vs Averno, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Texano Jr.: [OK/GOOD] Back to more of the vacation style match. A match with Alberto, Myzteziz and La Parka all on the same side for the first time should’ve felt bigger, but it felt more like an occasion for Myzteziz and Perro to do comedy with La Parka. The comedy was funny, it just wasn’t what I wanted out of this match. AAA sometimes has historic teams – that years ago match with LA Park & La Parka on the same side comes to mind – and you wish AAA would push the significance of the moment be spotlighted a little more before they go back in to the normal match. And this was a very normal match – A Perro brawling beatdown with nothing of importance happening leading to a comeback and a complete reset in the first segment. Basically, you could’ve started watching this match after the first break, not missed anything and maybe the match would’ve been better. The crowd there was very into the brawl and enjoyed the técnico showcase but it felt like an exhibition match on TV, and oddly so for something that’s has about six of the biggest guys in the promotion. It’s one of those times where the live experience and TV experience seems very different.

vacation show!
