only members of the Sexy Team can complete the dance

Dark Angel, Goya Kong, Lluvia vs Dalys, La Seductora, Tiffany: [Below Average/OK] Not good. First fall was stretched out to make up for it being two falls, but did not help at all. This was not a strong crew and luchadoras were sloppier and more out of position than usual. Dark Angel looked bad on a cool spot at the end of the first, clearly because Seductora did not move close enough.  The ruda followed Angel through second fall sequences better and showed some aggression near the end, but didn’t really impress. This felt like the first week of a build, not the last.

Sagrado armdrag fail, or Bucanero invents a move

Ángel de Oro, Sagrado, Stuka Jr. vs Boby Zavala, Rey Bucanero, Terrible: [Below Average/OK] Not a strong match, despite trying something different to end the first fall and the break up being onIy a background issue most of the way. Bucanero and Sagrado were horrible together, blowing an armdrag to start, then being on two very different timings for the Buca Strom. Angel slipped on his second fall finish too, though it made the dropkick look more painful. Stuka lost the one time he decided to fake the dive to the outside; I hope we have all learned something.

Super Porky

Marco Corleone, Máscara Dorada, Super Porky vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja: [GOOD] Marco and Porky style comedy match and a fun one. Dorada gets less time because his spots do not take long to set up and he is so quick to do them. His diving head scissors was superb. Marco and Niebla Roja either must feud forever or become unlikely partners, because they were great together. Niebla was awesome on his own too. It appeared Gran Guerrero briefly forgot how to apply his own finisher. These things happen. He could not bring this one down.

Titán © vs Cavernario for the Mexican National Welterweight Championship: [EXCELLENT] Excellent match, one of the best of the year. A complete epic battle that stood out as unique in CMLL. First two falls felt like matches upon themselves, longer than a lot of three fall matches and with both guys battling as if it was the third. Third fall played against formula, with both guys using clever submission instead of the repetitive near falls. Titan was really solid, keeping the match together the one or two times they looked to head off track, but Cavernario stole the show. He took so many crazy falls, on his moves and on Titan’s. The flying DDT off the apron looked incredible.  Cavernario has connected better with his splash to the floor, but Titan sold it coming back in as big as anyone. Titan’s escape out of the cavernaria was neat, as was the tapatia variation they did prior. This was even better than I could have imagined.
