AAA-Televisa: The SLP taping that just happened! Probably.

== CMLL ==

FOX: Sombra, Rush, Escorpion versus Maximo, Negro Casas, Volador Jr.

52MX: Possibly Silueta/Zeuxis from Guadalajara? Marco, Maximo, Valiente vs Revolucionarios.

C3: Bucanero/Terrible/Virus vs Atlatnis/Delta/Maya, Marco/Maximo/Stuka Jr. vs Dragon/Misterioso/Escorpion. All these matches are shorter because they have to fit seven matches (and two judging panels which can be as long as matches), which means all five matches should continue to air for the length of the tournament, only it’s not as big a deal since the openers are airing on the internet anyway.

TVC Deportes (Puebla): Volador Jr. vs Negro Casas

Lucha Azteca: Niebla, Casas, Shocker vs Atlantis, La Mascara, Rush

Terra Friday: Cachorro/Cavernario and Lee/Negro as the Busca matches, plus women and Space Cadetes

Terra Sunday: Rey Escorpion vs Maximo in one title match, Syuri vs Amapola in another.

Terra Tuesday: Hechicero/Soberano, Halcon/Star Jr. in Busca, women’s trios, minis and an opener.

IWRG-AYM Sports: They’ve been airing last Wednesday’s show, not the Sunday show. Not sure how it’ll turn out.

Noches de Coliseo: Charles Lucero vs Alberto del Rio, hair vs hair.

Dandy versus Satanico, added AAA match, Inquisidor, Arena Kalaka, Masked Mania

No IWRG show tonight; the show they announced earlier this week was for Sunday.

ChilangaMask held a press conference to hype their 04/27 El Dandy versus Satanico show. Dandy, who will be retiring at the end of his series with Satanico, says he wanted to stop wrestling while he was still good. Satanico wished there were many more “El Dandy”s. Dandy leads their series three matches to two, and they will have two more matches after this Arena Lopez Mateos match. They’ll fight on May 17th in Arena San Juan and May 18th in Reynosa, Tamalipas in a hair match.

Ludxor says he and Venum versus Eterno & Carta Brava Jr. has been added to Saturday’s AAA TV. It might be the local dark match, where AAA uses their own guys as locals. It also might turn out to be the best match on the card, and it’s not a bad card.

Record has a story on Inquisidor selling fruit to make ends meet. The article starts off with a quote from Inquidor about how there’s not much lucha libre work and it’s not paying well. Inquisidor mentions he’s been helping out with the fruit business since he was young and his father was in it. Today, it’s more about moving heavy boxes for his two uncles. He’s working three days a week (Friday to Sunday), from 5 to 11 before going to work at his lucha libre job. Inquisidor only gets two CMLL main arena matches a month, usually openers. That’s only going to work out for him if there’s a lot of full roster spot shows to work on, and there aren’t those for CMLL right now. He’s also a guy in danger of being pushed out completely as CMLL continues to add wave after wave of new luchadors.

Arena Kalaka of Ciudad Juarez will be closed for the next four months after an incident where a luchador attacked a fan. The local lucha commission is enforcing the suspension, and it reads like the luchador (who’s name I haven’t seen) is also suspended.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Somehow, I never posted the MaskedMania show to the database? It’s 10 days away, it’s $10 on iPPV. I’m probably watching live (though also probably watching CMLL at the same time if they do anything for that Arena Mexico Anniversary show.) Kevin Kleinrock has an interview about the show here.

Air Date: 04/19?

An all tecnico victory show (except maybe the dark match) and a place keeping show. The bigger things will happen Saturday in Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera. Tercera sounds like it was the best match.

The ring mat and the edecanes were all dressed in red, for new beer sponsor Victoria. They had the red mat back in Ciudad Victoria, but they officially announced the change here. It looks like a full house; the building holds 3,400 before they cut off seats for the entrance area.

Fenix beating Perro was the one notable bit from the show. It sounds like it was the usual bit of a tecnico winning and then it being immediately wiped out by the rudos beating him up, but maybe it’ll come across stronger on TV. Perro Jr. is usually good one upset loss a year, but it doesn’t usually go anywhere. Still, Fenix has the cage win and a win over a main eventer in a short time.

There was an early in-ring skit where CIbernetico congratulated La Parka for winning Rey de Reyes and Konnan interrupted him. If anything meaningful came from it, it has not yet been revealed.

Next taping is Saturday. This show just existed to fulfill TV needs. That next one will be fascinating.
