Stigma took Camorra’s mask last night in Puebla. Camorra is Roberto Ruiz Gonzalez, 36 years old, 12 years a wrestler. Rudos won the main event in straight falls. Attendance looked good.
The Tuesday Arena Mexico show is a Wednesday 5pm show because of the holiday. That show starts at 5pm, while Guadalajara is at 8:30.
On this week’s MLW Radio podcast, Konnan says it looks like AAA will be starting in April, and there should be a press conference about it [not sure if he meant El Rey or AAA, sounded like network because he talked about investors]. He’s not sure his exact role with the new backstage company – may be agent, may be writer. AAA will not look anything like WWE, but more like comics. Konnan’s going to make sure it doesn’t drift too far from lucha libre, but likes all the people he’s working with and the talent they’re going to bring in. He wants great matches, and not stupid stuff like WWE/TNA present, and he thinks everyone is going to like the finished product
The show is “being written by really smart sharp people, people who’ve had a lot of success in Hollywood, but they’re people who don’t understand wrestling, so that’s one of the things I’m there for.” That’s present tense; they’re working on now. It’s not a process Konnan’s involved in himself; he meant those people and it sounds like they’ll meet more later on but it’s those writers doing the writing. He’s seen some of the rough drafts and likes how they’ve integrated Mexican history, but he’s also in the dark about a lot of what they’re doing and hopes to learn more soon.
On his own role: “I can’t wrestle any more, but I will be one of the main guys on the show.” He’s not sure if he’s going to be a heel or tweener.
People Konnan feels are tremendous jerks (cleaning up for the website) and unprofessional: LA Park, Dr. Wagner Jr., and Hijo del Santo. He used to hate Canek and feels he killed the UWA by selfishness, but Canek’s changed and is cool now and Mil Mascaras. Fishman and Perro Aguayo are cool.
Also, I’m told Konnan shared his thoughts about me over on a premium podcast – or he complained about Rob and thought it was me again, for the 100th time. This has either reached fantastic A+ trolling or it’s just hilarious. I really want it to be A+ trolling.
Rey Centella lost his mask in Queretaro. Looks like Hijo del Tirantes helped.
Mascara Sagrada says he’s going to retire…at some point, maybe soon, maybe later.
Zeuxis says she’s working for WWL in 2014, so maybe there are WWL shows in 2014.
This is so fake – Polvora’s not going to main event a Friday night show.
Cronicas y Leyendas looks back at Irma Aguilar versus Rossy Moreno.

Averno sure is persistent. Camorra comes back at least once unmasked.
Star Jr. and Rebelde are new names. There was a Star Jr. in la Laguna, but maybe it’s a second generation local we’ve yet to meet. There have been a million Rebelde’s – this is probably not the guy from 1960.
