***Arena Naucalpan 36th Anniversary***
1) Alfa, Emperador Azteca, Omega b Fulgor I, Kalim Black, Rey Hechicero
Monterrey’s Rey Hechicero replaced Fulgor II
2) Bracito De Plata & Piratita Morgan b Dragoncito De Oro & Mini Multifacetico
3) Diva Salvaje, Dr. Cerebro, Miss Gaviota b Canis Lupus, Danny Casas, Douki
Cerebro and Canis are feuding.
4) Alan Extreme, Máscara Púrpura, Veneno DQ Apolo Estrada Jr., Súper Nova, Trauma I
Tecnicos took 1/3. Trauma I faked a foul from Purpura in the second, Purpura did the same in the third.
5) Oficial 911 & X-Fly L Oficial Fierro & Trauma II and Golden Magic & Hijo de Pirata Morgan [relevos suicidas]
Trauma II & Fierro escaped the match first. Pirata & X-Fly were eliminated, leaving it to 911 and Golden. Golden won, despite Fierro trying to help. All three Oficials complained about the count, insisting 911 kicked out at 2. 911 tried to leave, but was forced back with Golden’s father Mr. Magia helping. Oficial 911 is José Ángel Bocanegra González, 28 years old, 15 years a wrestler.

IWRG posters list a Saturday airing at 4pm on AYM, so I guess that’s the regular slot for Thursday shows now. (It’s not airing on LAS, at least as far as I can tell.)

CMLL (FRI) 12/20/2013 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Leono & Pegasso b Cancerbero & Raziel
Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., Sagrado b Boby Zavala, Misterioso Jr., Puma
Tecnicos took 2/3 in a good match.
3) Blue Panther, Máximo, Super Porky DQ Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Straight falls in a short match. Negro Casas played tecnico during the match, but fouled Panther by the end.
4) Titán b AtlantisAvernoLa MáscaraOlímpicoDeltaFelinoTritónTigerStuka Jr.Shigeo OkumuraVirus [Leyenda de Plata, semifinal]
Okumura (by Delta), Triton (by Tiger), Olimpico (by Atlantis), Tiger (by Atlantis), Atlantis (by Averno with help), Delta (by Virus), Felino (by La Masara), Stuka (by Virus), Virus (DQ for fouling Mascara), Mascara (DQ for revenge fouling Virus in an effective double elimination), leaving current rivals Titan and Averno. The two went for a few minutes, which included Titan headscissoring Averno off the apron again, and Averno powerbombing Titan into the barricade. Averno dropkicked Titan to break up Titanics and dropped him with a top rope Devil’s Wings, btu Titan kicked out again and eventually snuck in a quick Titanics for the big win. Titan faces next week’s winner on 01/03 for the title.
5) Volador Jr. b Reapper
Volador wore a red/blue Spider-Man outfit. Reapper attacked him on the way to the ring, and Olimpico & Kraneo ran in to attack cause a first fall DQ. Reapper took fall two. Volador took the third with a Spanish Fly, then demanded a hair vs mask match. He got no answer.

Titan winning is shocking. CMLL standard booking is to spread around the wins and Titan’s had so many that it didn’t seem like he had a chance here, but Titan is clearly no longer bound by the limits of CMLL standard booking. Titan’s secretly been the best programmed upcoming guy on the roster (Mistico II included), but it’s not a secret anymore. He’s also very good. Titan versus Averno is a late candidate for feud of the year (though Sombra/Volador and Perro/Cibernetico would be ahead of them at least.)

Volador winning is a less of a surprise. It’ll be interesting if Reapper (however they spell it) continues challenging Volador or if this is just the end of that. Show didn’t seem to draw anything special for the end of this feud, maybe less than usual because of the AAA free show across town.

TV Azteca was at the show, taping for a general sports show I think. This yet another cross promotion between TV Azteca and CMLL; I keep expecting some sort of show announcement but this doesn’t appear to be it.

CMLL aired a preshow with sit down interviews before the live Terra broadcast. This was unannounced, and maybe an attempt to get interview content onto the Friday Terra shows (though it works better if people know it exists.) The only people watching the Terra shows are the people who are also on Twitter or Facebook; it’s amazing one of the CMLL announcers isn’t active on one of those services to inform people that their work exists.

AAA TRIDENT (FRI) 12/20/2013 Gimnasio Juan De La Barrera [AAA]
1) Argenis, Dinastía, Sexy Star b Mini Abismo Negro, Pentagón Jr., Taya Valkyrie
2) Angélico, Fénix, Jack Evans b Hijo del Fantasma, Steve Pain, Toscano
Toscano replaced Eterno.
3) El Mesías b Texano Jr.Psycho Clown
Psycho beat Texano via Destroyer, and Mesias beat Psycho with a top rope splash.

Free show with a gum wrapper.

The Los Bastardos trio of Epitafio, Leviathan and Tormento won the AULL Trios Championship from Rocky Santana, Negro Navarro and Robin Maravilla last night.

Stigma versus Camorra, mask versus mask, will happen on 12/30 in Arena Puebla. That’s the only date that made sense after Camorra said it would happen before the end of the year.

Rob has highlights of 10/08/13 CMLL.

LuchaWorld has a recap of Thursday’s TerceraCaida.

5) Villano IV vs ? [Rock y Lucha CHAMP]
winner of previous match. First defense.

Rock y Lucha is Heavy Metal’s occasional promotion. Toscano, Metal on the show – the new season of CMLL lasted one show? I dunno.

Saruman’s back for the first time in a while, the rudo turn apparently forgot. That’s okay.

CMLL (FRI) 12/27/2013 Arena Mexico

2) Hombre Bala Jr., Súper Halcón Jr., Tritón vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Sangre Azteca

5) Atlantis, Super Porky, Volador Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys

Titan versus Negro Casas? Excellent. Titan vs Rey Escorpion? Excellent? Titan versus Mephisto & Polvora? Proven great. Titan versus new spelling of Reaper? At least CMLL has a plan. Titan versus Puma? PUMA! Out of all of those, I’m going to root for Titan versus Guerrero Maya Junior because why not.

IWRG (SUN) 12/29/2013 Arena Naucalpan

5) Apolo Estrada Jr., Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo vs Black Terry, Bombero Infernal, Dr. Cerebro [EdM Trios]
Gringos are champions. Second defense (first was also against this team.)

Main event looks like it may be a title change. Hechicero gets moved up quite a bit.

IWRG (WED) 01/01/2014 Arena Naucalpan
***IWRG 18th Anniverasry Show***
1) Emperador Azteca & Sky Ángel vs Fulgor I & Fulgor II

4) Alan Extreme, Golden Magic, Veneno vs Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Oficial AK47, X-Fly
5) Lizmark Sr., Vampiro Canadiense, Villano IV vs Cien Caras Jr., Pirata Morgan, Súper Nova

Vampiro. Maybe Lizmark (though it could be his son.) More excited for Tupac, but how could you not be.
