CMLL (FRI) 11/01/2013 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Cancerbero & Raziel b Soberano Jr. & Súper Halcón Jr.
Rudos took 1/3 in a rough match, particularly for Soberano. Soberano was stretchered out after missing a plancha to the floor and hitting his face on the barricade.
2) Goya Kong, Marcela, Silueta b Dalys, La Seductora, Tiffany
Tecnicos took 2/3. Marcela and Dalys are still feuding but not involved in the finish.
3) Ángel de Oro, Rey Cometa, Titán b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Tecnicos took 2/3. Titan beat Ephesto and Mephisto in the third fall in build to the title match on Sunday.
4) Blue Panther, Shocker, Thunder b Euforia, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Shocker’s latest return. Tecnicos took 2/3.
5) Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. b La Sombra, Máximo, Mistico
6) Tama Tonga b Rush
Straight falls for Tama. Rush fouled him in the first.

Main event sets up the tag title match for next week, with nothing else going on. Everyone who wore a costume got in free, and the Terra cameras found a lot of people in costumes. Many of the wrestlers wore zombie like outfits. The edecanes too; they had a different outfit for every match and did a dance to Thriller in the fourth.

The action in the ring was scary too. Soberano had a rough opening match, and Shocker looked not in good condition (in so many ways) in his return. Tercera was the best match on a weak Terra show. Hopefully Sunday is better.

Rey Cometa is headed to Japan, according to the Arena Queretaro Facebook. This was the name I’ve been hinted towards. We were told the same thing in Mexico and actually already expected it to happen. (I thought it might have been canceled to do a Namajague/Cometa hair match, since they started that up again before dropping, and now wonder if there was a change in plans because of Alex Shelley’s injury meant the Bushi/CMLL team would be advancing in the current tag team tournament.) There’s no timeline mentioned here, but it would make a lot of sense for Cometa to work against Namajague upon his return to Japan, which is most likely to happen at FantasticaMania. Plus, if Fantasma knew he wasn’t going on that tour this year, the guys who do probably have been told they’re going.
