Estrellita vs Amapola for the Mexican National Women’s Championship: if you have to watch one Estrellita title match from the last month – in what world would you have to make that choice? I dunno. But if you did have to make that choice, you should definitely choose this one. It wasn’t just Amapola being better at this than Sugheit, but there was a higher level of urgency and intensity than the Arena Mexico one. The luchadors were in to every pinfall in the third fall. The fans still didn’t seem to care much (still chanting at each other in Guadalajara!) and there were still plenty of rough moments usually present in an Estrellita match, but this one came off overall okay, and the other one did not.

Blue Panther, Shocker, Thunder vs Tiger, Último Guerrero, Vangellys: Regular okay Sunday match taken down a notch by Thunder being a horrible luchador. It’s not getting better because it so rarely gets better with anyone, and he seems the type least likely to get better. Everyone else did their normal stuff, if a bit less than it.
Atlantis, La Máscara, Mistico vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión: Paint by numbers match. Nothing bad about it but just the normal spots. Rey Escorpion might be on the Revolucionarios so he can look even better in comparison. I don’t know Místico and Dragon Rojo ran into each other on La Mistica, but they did. It would’ve been more useful to show the Maya/Virus lightning match here, but usefulness isn’t priority.
