Hombre Bala craziness of the week

Leono & Metatrón vs Cholo & Inquisidor: A boring but competent opener. No one looked bad, but no one did anything that would make you want to see them again. Leono’s stock seems to have fallen even lower of late; he’s barely making it into the opening match. He’s going to be one where he’ll be gone for three months before I notice he’s stopped showing up.

Triton 450

Hombre Bala Jr., Starman, Súper Halcón Jr. vs Guerrero Negro Jr., Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu: Tecnicos all looked good, as did Guerrero Negro Jr. throwing himself around. Meanwhile, Hijo del Signo struggled putting on a nudo. I don’t know what’s going on there. Halcón & Starman’s offense and hard working Starman were plenty enough to make this more entertaining and they did a lot in the third fall (maybe the first time Bala’s done the corner tope as a setup to the rope flip moonsault), but the match in total was just setup to those técnicos spots and not a lot more. The rudos sure did all like stomping Hombre Bala a lot.

Pierroth is the worst.

Diamante, Pegasso, Tritón vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Puma: Wrong man won! Puma was great as usual; everyone was pretty much as usual, good or bad. Finish seemed really sudden, added by Arkangel getting himself into the picture as if he was going to break up the cradle and then stepping away from it. Te non-dive bit at the end very random. Second fall also seemed like it kept going strangely for a couple minutes.

Ángel de Oro, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Ephesto, Gran Guerrero, Virus: six guys just drifting around, though it would get better for Virus & Guerrero Maya shortly. This had better guys than previous matches but did not seem like it ever got into a high gear. Gran Guerrero is still very much a work in progress; matching up Virus and Guerrero Maya made for good match ups, but Maya would’ve been easier for Gran Guerrero to deal with. Delta is a problem even for normal guys.

three guys there, no one catches him.

Diamante Azul, La Máscara, Shocker vs Pierroth, Terrible, Tiger: One of those two fall matches which are essentially the same exact as a three fall match only they don’t bother with the would be second fall pinfalls. It’s the same sequence of events and same match time (though a little bit shorter because there’s no fall break), but it’s really not that much changed. Shocker going for the Dos Caras Clutch over and over again next week makes even more sense after seeing him use it so successfully here. They set up that story well; maybe Shocker doesn’t have the physical ability but he still has the mental ability. Pierroth is awful in all ways.
