CMLL FUROR (SUN) 09/22/2013 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), Estrellas del Ring]
1) Flyer b Robin, Akuma
Bonus match
2) Eléctrico & Último Dragoncito b Mercurio & Pequeño Olímpico
3) Estrellita & Goya Kong b Amapola & Tiffany
4) Canis Lupus, Puma (CMLL), Tiger b Centvrión, Guerrero Maya Jr., Magnus
Rudos took 1/3. Magnus replaced Dinamic Black. Comando Negro was originally announced, but Canis Lupus replaced him.
5) Blue Panther, Brazo de Oro, Negro Casas b Black Terry, Negro Navarro, Shu el Guerrero
Brazo de Oro replaced Brazo de Plata. Team CMLL took 2/3. Negro Casas beat Negro Navarro with a casita to win.
6) La Sombra & Volador Jr. NC Atlantis & Último Guerrero [Relevos Increíbles]
match essentially abandoned after two falls of teams not getting along
7) Último Guerrero & Volador Jr. b Atlantis & La Sombra
one fall, Volador beating Sombra and UG doing the same to Atlantis. Volador demanded a chance to take Sombra’s mask, Sombra said no since he already won and walked off.

Attendance seems slightly down from the similar (and holiday) RCH show last week. This was a sponsored show and probably not a long term return of CMLL to the building.

AAA will have La Parka on their interview show tonight.

LA Park says his next objective is La Sombra, to avenge his nephew’s loss. This will happen right after the triple mask match.

Apparently there was a press conference for Heavy Metal’s upcoming Rock and Wrestling show, because there’s one article where Veneno is unhappy Heavy Metal didn’t book him on his show and promises to show up and challenge Metal anyway, and then another where Heavy Metal talks about being hit by a guitar by Veneno at the press conference. Veneno got himself added to the main event, so that was a strong plan.

Interivew with Espartaco, who says he’s a 31 year veteran who’s used that name for 9 years. Hmmm.

Lucky Boy and Rey Celestial won an incredible partners tournament.

IWL will air at 5:30 pm today. Tercera Caida is on Wednesday, but earlier than usual.

Puebla commission tries to create a one (fake) Hijo de Gran Markus limit.

Lucha Libre in Japan

09/23 Stardom: Alpha Female b Dark Angel [5STAR GP]
That’s the end of her tournament (though there’s no mention of Dark Angel leaving Japan yet.)

The CMLL luchadoras over in REINA will be appearing on the 10/14 Wrestling New Classic show.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 09/29/2013 Arena Coliseo
1) Aéreo & Stukita vs Mercurio & Pequeño Universo 2000
2) Pegasso, Soberano Jr., Stigma vs Camorra, Inquisidor, Nosferatu
3) Diamante, Fuego, Sagrado vs Ishii, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
4) Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Virus [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Shocker, Thunder vs Tiger, Último Guerrero, Vangellys
6) Atlantis, La Máscara, Mistico vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión

First Coliseo show in a month.

Stukita’s back! (And so are Aereo and Universo.) I dunno what’s going on, though I’m leaning towards CMLL not doing as many Pequeno Estrellas matches and some guys just not being available. Stukita seems only cleared to work openers (and tournaments) at this point, so maybe it’s also matter of finding three other guys who would work openers with him.

Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Virus should be awesome. Ishii seems to have the same amount of plans as Bushi did for his stint (none), but any time Namajague & Okumura team up on Sundays may mean the start of a certain title program.

09/22 AAA TV Results (DF)

AAA TV (SUN) 09/22/2013 Domo del Deportivo Plan Sexenal, Distrito Federal [Lucha Libre AAA]
0) Carta Brava Jr. & El Apache b Lucky Boy & Niño de Ébano
1) Dinastía b Mini Abismo Negro [AAA MINI]
Dinastia’s 3rd defense. Drago and Psicosis were seconds (as in the title change with Mini Psicosis) and got involved again. Dinastia beat Mini Abismo with a Spanish Fly, then Psicosis beat up Drago post match.
2) Drago, Faby Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata b Argos, Mamba, Mary Apache
Psicosis again attacked Drago after the match.
3) Angélico, Australian Suicide, Jack Evans b Eterno, Pentagón Jr., Steve Pain
Australian did a twisting shooting star press onto Pentagon for the win.
4) Escoria, Espíritu, Ozz b Daga, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Psicosis
Ozz Driver on Psicosis for the win (with Drago being somewhat involved.) Scoria hurt his arm.
5) El Mesías, La Parka, Psycho Clown b Chessman, Parka Negra, Texano Jr.
Psycho Clown beat Texano Jr. again.

Air Date: I believe 10/12 and 10/19, since this bonus opener allows this to be a two show taping. That means it’s probably the last show the people going to the 10/26 Heroes Inmortales will see (depends how early they leave for the show.) At least two more hours of TV will still air before that next major card.

AAA is taping way ahead of airing now; maybe so they can use some of those now freed up weekends for El Rey tapings? It also means most of the missing matches for Heroes Inmortales have/will be build up in skits not mentioned in live event recaps (or will not be built up at all.) The Drago/Psicosis stuff seems like it’s setting up a Faby/Drago versus Psicosis/Taya since the mixed tag team titles keep getting brought up, but Drago (with Aerostar) advanced in the secret tag team tournament so I dunno which is actually happening.

Australian Suicide is a brutal name. “Australia Suicida” is marginally better but it’s still a nickname and not a name. I’m pretty sure it’s the guy who was doing interviews about going to AAA. He’s probably the mystery foreigner on the other upcoming shows and is said to be really good so maybe I’ll get over the name.  The minis match and the opener should also be good.

The next taping is 10/02 in SLP.
