AAA in Toluca, notes

AAA has a TV taping tonight in Toluca, their second in six days. Main event is Cibernetico, Mesias, La Parka versus Ozz, Parka Negra and Chessman. While the Secta always betrays their leader because they want no leader, it’s usually the bigger Ozz who gets the chance at being with the top guys as if he’s the leader of the group  Sometimes this just gets him beat! He’ll try to avoid that tonight. Psycho Clown gets another chance to actually beat Texano Jr. Maybe the Psycho Circus should make some flash cards or a YouTube video to remind them of which Consejo guy they’re supposed to pin. The bottom two thirds of the card have little ongoing storylines but could all be fun matches.

AAA tapings are off for 17 days (as best we can tell) after this show. They’ll be less than a month away from Heroes Inmortales by the time they’re back and will probably have to announce the date/location sometime in the gap. Maybe they’ll actually do it tonight?

Last night’s Tercera Caida had Joe Lider in the studio for the entire hour. Fusion did air, but it was a repeat.

CMLL put the usual GalaTV promo for next week’s show.  Akron was the missing name in the opener of next Monday’s Arena Puebla show.

There was a rumor the CMLL Anniversary date/time was being moved. This is not true.

LuchaWorld had KrisZ’s news update and 80 thru 71 in the top of 2012 countdown.

Bill has highlights of 08/04/13 Arena Coliseo.

LuchaMania Monterrey’s website is back with Hijo de Esapnto II defeating Tigre Universitario for a random title belt in Arena Coliseo Monterrey and Kaientai doing a pipebomb promo in NGX.

Circulo Negro kept the Morelos state Heavyweight championship over Sioux in straight falls, the last by DQ. The rudos beat up Circulo and his father post match. Circulo’s father is Chamaco Valaguez (teasing a return from retirement), so Circulo is Nosferatu’s brother.

IWL is bringing in El Pulpo and Pulpocito to their anniversary show, in case you were on the fence after the first 61 guys were announced.

A 09/16 show in Morelos lists Maximo in the main event. Maximo says he wasn’t ever contacted.

100% Lucha/Argentine luchador Hip Hop Man won his Arena Aficion debut match.

Apolo Dantes talks about his career.

Ohtani’s Jacket reviews more La Parka & Lizmark.

Lucha Libre in Japan

09/05 NJPW: Manabu Nakanishi, Jushin Liger [O] & Tiger Mask b Karl Anderson, Tama Tonga & Rey Bucanero [X]
That start could’ve gone better. Liger is being set up for a NWA Heavyweight title match so I don’t like Bucanero’s chances of taking the tag team titles away from him.
