CMLL (MON) 09/02/2013 Arena Puebla [Comunicate Digital, El Popular , El Sol de Puebla]
1) Meyer & Robin b Ares & Camorra
El Popular lists Robin pinning Meyer for the win. Probably not right.
2) Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Luna Mágica b Amapola, Princesa Sugheit, Tiffany
Goya beat Tiffany.
3) Nosferatu b Molotov [lightning]
Nosferatu submitted Molotov in a match that was added to the card for some reason
4) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stigma b Boby Zavala, Puma, Tiger
Delta beats Zavala.
5) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente DQ Euforia, Negro Casas, Volador Jr.
Volador pulled Mistico’s mask for the DQ.
6) Mr. Niebla b Rush
Niebla jumped Rush but Rush still won fall 1. Niebla took two (with a questionably legal piledriver), then the third with an unseen foul

Volador and Mistico seems to be ongoing here.

CMLL (TUE) 09/03/2013 Arena Mexico [Black Terry Jr. (Flickr)]
1) Pequeño Violencia & Pequeño Warrior b Aéreo & Pequeño Halcón
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Canelo Casas, Disturbio b Pegasso, Starman, Stigma
Rudos took 1/3. Canelo submitted Starman.
3) Diamante, Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado b Namajague, Puma, Virus
Tecnicos took 1/3.
4) Fuego b Boby Zavala [lightning]
Fuego submitted Zavala in just over 6 and a half minutes.
5) Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Thunder b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Straight falls. Avernos were DQed in the first and ripped up Panther’s pants. Blue Panther submitted Averno in the second.
6) Negro Casas, Shocker, Valiente b Rush, Terrible, Vangellys [Relevos Increíbles]
Rush was not the best partner for his teammates.

Rush worked with his rudo partners during the match, then seems to heave betrayed them in the end. He also appears to be growing facial hair, which increases evilness. (It’s science.) Meanwhile, and probably by coincidence, this week’s En Busca de Un Idolo ends with Rush demonstrating how to do a hold by putting it on Fuego and refusing to let go in very rudo fashion. I have no idea if the much anticipated Rush rudo turn is actually happening, but both Friday night’s CMLL Universal match and the 09/13 trios match are very interesting.

CMLL (TUE) 09/03/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) Esfinge & Metatrón b Ráfaga & Sádico
Tecnicos took 1/3.
2) Bárbaro Cavernario, Cancerbero, Raziel b Hombre Bala Jr., Oro Jr., Súper Halcón Jr.
Rudos took 1/3. Cancerbero & Raizel defeated Bala & Oro.
3) Kráneo, Morphosis, Psicosis b Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr., Titán
Rudos took 1/3. Psicosis beat Titan
4) Pólvora b Ángel de Oro [CMLL WELTER]
Polvora came in as champion and took 1/3 to keep the title. Fifth defense.
5) Hiroshi Tanahashi, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, La Sombra, Marco Corleone
Rudos took 1/3. UG snuck in a foul on Atlantis.

Just keeping things in place for the Anniversary show. No mention of any 09/13 Anniversary show here.

CMLL Gaceta has an article about Estetas vs Revolucionarios being added to the Anniversary card. Mistico is thrilled to be on the card, saying he was sad when he was left off. Polvora says he could never imagine being in the semimain of any Anniversary show, much less the 80th, and will do his trainer Tony Salazar proud.

The same article says the submission/no pinfall rules for the Blue Panther versus Averno hair match is official. Again, given CMLL’s struggle with the concept of “super libre/no DQ”, I wouldn’t count on it happening until it happens. The original challenge for the match was also to make it one fall, but there’s been no mention of that part since.

Terra interviews Rey Bucanero and Felino about their cage match on the 78th Anniversary show. Felino treats the El Luchador storyline (Tiger abandons his family for new mentor Rey Bucanero) as a big secret from the fans. It was actually sort of a secret from the fans when the match happened, since El Luchador didn’t air until the fall, but they also were feuding over the Peste Negra break up and that goes pretty much unmentioned here. Felino is proud to have used the ropes to  beat Rey Bucanero, feeling it counts as beating him twice.

(Also, if anyone is still upset about the Anniversary card in total, please remember they did a cage match ending with Felino and Rey Bucanero just two years ago.)

AAA has the second part of their interview with La Secta. They interview Angelico & Jack Evans tonight.

Ozz says he and La Secta are sick off false prophets like Cibernetico (both times!), Mesias and La Parka. You have to agree that following people sure hasn’t worked out for them.

Keiji Muto, in charge of soon to debut Wrestle-1 in Japan, mentioned he’d like to unify his titles with TNA and AAA. That’s probably not happening, but AAA being in as many AJPW decedent promotions as possible at the same time is at least amusing. Muto hasn’t announced any of the opponents for his Wrestle-1 roster on their debut card (09/08) and I guess it’s possible AAA luchadors could be involved, but no really knows what’s going on there.

SuperLuchas picks up Alberto del Rio mentioning he had five guys in mind who he’d like Triple H to tryout while in Mexico for the upcoming tour by suggesting 11 possible WWE candidates. Albert Del Rio has been working and living in the US for the last few years so I think it’s less likely he knows newer guys (like Fenix or Daga or Titan.) If he really has five guys in mind, it’s probably those who were around when Alberto was last around. (Or he could just try to introduce Triple H to Hijo de Dos Caras and Sicodelico Jr.)

Rob has highlights of 07/15/13 AAA.

Alex has highlights of 08/27/13 CMLL.

Cronicas y Leyendas looks back at Anibal taking Gran Hamada’s hair, Solar defeating Satanico, Faboluso Blondy winning the NWA LH title, and Super Astro.

Lineups

IWRG (SUN) 09/08/2013 Arena Naucalpan
1) Astro Rey Jr. & Emperador Azteca vs Fulgor I & Fulgore II
2) Bugambilia, Cristal, Seiya vs Dragón Celestial, Imposible, La Sádica
3) Centvrión, Dr. Cerebro, Veneno vs Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Rayan, Spartan
4) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr. vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo [EdM Trios]
Piratas are champs. Second defense.
5) Dinamic Black vs Golden Magic [IWRG IC WELTER]
Dinamic Black is champion. Fourth defense.

THAT didn’t take long. Golden Magic is still on the tecnico side Thursday, so this will probably by his first rudo match. He was welterweight champion back in 2011, and never got a rematch after he lost to Eterno.

Semimian is random title match theater. Piratas still have both trios titles here.

CMLL (MON) 09/09/2013 Arena Puebla
1) Águila Egipcia & Camaleón vs ? & Centauro de Fuego
2) Milenium, Sensei, Soberano Jr. vs Disturbio, Fuerza Chicana, Toro Bill Jr.
3) Fuego, Rey Cometa, Tritón vs Misterioso Jr., Sangre Azteca, Shigeo Okumura
4) Diamante Azul, Shocker, Thunder vs Namajague, Terrible, Vangellys
5) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente vs Euforia, Negro Casas, Volador Jr.

Volador/Mistico continues, which may mean they’re here on the 16th. Namajague seemed to be moved up but I have no idea who he’s going to work with in the semimain. I don’t think anyone noticed, but Taichi’s finished up here.

More Puebla luchadors this week. Segunda would be Toro Bill Jr.’s first appearance here in 3 years. The missing name in the rudo isn’t a surprise, the name was just cut off on the lineup and is probably a DQ primera rudo.

CMLL (TUE) 09/10/2013 Arena Mexico
1) Leono & Metatrón vs Cholo & Inquisidor
2) Hombre Bala Jr., Starman, Súper Halcón Jr. vs Guerrero Negro Jr., Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu
3) Diamante, Pegasso, Tritón vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Puma
4) Marcela vs Princesa Blanca [lightning]
5) Ángel de Oro, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Ephesto, Gran Guerrero, Virus
6) Diamante Azul, La Máscara, Shocker vs Pierroth, Terrible, Tiger

I guess Tiger is okay/in TRT? Until they change their minds and this lineup? Every single rudo in the semifinal would be better than Pierroth in the main event but it should make for a good semimain.

CMLL (TUE) 09/10/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Metatrón & Virgo vs Évola & Magnum
2) Leo & Magnus vs Maléfico & Nitro
3) Dalis la Caribeña, Estrellita, Goya Kong vs Amapola, Princesa Sugheit, Tiffany
4) Máximo, Super Porky, Valiente vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión, Vangellys
5) Atlantis, Blue Panther, La Sombra vs Averno, Mephisto, Volador Jr.

Last times for Panther/Averno & Sombra/Volador.
