Artillero salute!

Hombre Bala Jr. & Súper Halcón Jr. vs Artillero & Súper Comando: Usual clipped opener; there’s probably a much better full length match possible between these two teams, but this one had some pretty good moments. Super Comando is still really good and really underutilized, but not as much here – he was a good match with G11, who looked their usual good self. Artillero won a fall by dropkicking a guy out of the ring, and who gets to say that?

death via stomping

Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Mistico vs Averno, Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla: Averno, demanding a submission match while having no submission defense at all, is a weird character. A totally different one than usually around here. This was good build to the singles match they’re not actually doing. Mascara Dorada looked outstanding. Místico and everyone else was fine.

death via powerbomb

Negro Casas, Shocker, Terrible vs Máximo, Rey Escorpión, Rush in a relevos increíbles match: Rush versus Negro Casas also looks exponentially more exciting than -the match they’re actually setting up, except they’ve been so definite about Rush wanting Negro Casas (and only Negro Casas’) hair, that I’m more sure this won’t be the end of it. Rush physically dominated Negro Casas in the first fall, where the excessive violence disqualification actually seemed justified because there was no way Negro Casas was getting out of that corner alive. Negro had no chance against Rush even with all his tricks here, though I guess it won’t be that way when they eventually have a singles match. Everyone else was great in their roles; Rey Escorpion messing with Máximo and causing Rush to get killed by the rudos was great. I don’t know if this is great for the action, but maybe for the stories they told.
