CMLL (FRI) 07/05/2013 Arena Mexico
1) Camaleón & Sensei b Cholo & Disturbio
2) Dark Angel, Luna Mágica, Marcela b Amapola, La Seductora, La Vaquerita
3) Diamante Azul, La Máscara, Thunder b Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Pólvora
4) Stuka Jr. b Fuego [En Busca de un Idolo]
Short match, Stuka winning with a cradle. Judges were not high on either man, giving Stuka a 7, 8, 8, 6 for a 29 and a 6, 7, 7, 5 for Fuego.
5) Vangellys b Valiente [En Busca de un Idolo]
Good match. Vangellys kicked out Valiente’s finisher and beat him with a fisherman’s suplex. Vangelis scored all 10s for a 40, and Valiente got a 10, 10, 10, 9 for a 39.
6) Rush b ShockerMáximoBlue PantherSuper PorkyNegro CasasAvernoMr. ÁguilaRey EscorpiónRey Bucanero [cibernetico]
Eliminations went Super Porky, Averno, Mr. Aguila, Maximo (DQed due a rudo faking a foul), Blue Panther, Shocker (Rush fouled, Bucanero got the pin), Rey Bucanero, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpion, with Rush celebrating his victory by himself.
7) Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero b Atlantis, Mistico, Titán
Quick match, especially the first two falls. Rudos took 1/3. Atlantis pulled UG’s mask, but Gran Guerrero still fouled Atlantis and got the pin.

En Busca de un Idolo standings

221 Vangellys
213 Valiente
—————–
185 Stuka Jr.
149 Fuego

Stuka is 36 points behind Valiente and 28 points behind Vangelis. Both are a stretch but neither is possible; if they were switched and Stuka was only 28 points behind Vangelis, Stuka would have a great chance. Last week’s poll results were much closer than any previous week, with only 11 points separating first from last. It needs to be a much bigger (normal) gap for Stuka to win. The enthusiasm for this tournament has pretty much burnt out, so it’s likely that doesn’t happen.

Valiente is a main event guy right now regardless of what happens in this tournament. Vangellys should win if CMLL already has a plan for him going forward. If they don’t, Valiente should win.

Volador was doing guest commentary for Televisa. I heard a bit of his commentary on the tercera – it turns out he doesn’t think much of the tecnicos! Estrellita was on the Fox Sports broadcast, which should have the woman’s match and the main event.

CMLL and AAA are both bumped an hour later this afternoon on Televisa. It’s a one time thing, and something they only started pushing the last day or so (so they probably found out about it then.) They’re pushed back because the network is airing a U20 World Cup (soccer) game between Uruguay and Spain. It’s a playoff game, so it could go much longer.

Estrellas del Ring has Orion winning the DTU 6 way match in Aficion I couldn’t find a result for. That recap also mentions people left the show early when they were five (not good) matches in and it was already 11 pm.

Black Terry Jr. has photos from last night’s show in Queretero. I do not have full results, but Fenix did retain the Fusion title in another four way.

The LA Park vs Dr. Wagner Jr. vs El Hijo del Santo match has turned up on YouTube (found here.)

Fredo has photos of Namajague Fuego, Namajague Titan and Namajague Revolucionario from Namajague’s Facebook.

Porra Fresa previews Monday’s Arena Puebla card.

CMLL Gaceta has a story on Terrible & Sombra’s first night in Japan.

Pachuca luchador Kulikitaka is out of action with an arm injury.

Alebrije talks about his match tomorrow.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 07/11/2013 Arena Naucalpan
1) Sky Ángel vs Dragón Celestial
2) Saruman & Seiya vs Fulgor I & Fulgore II
3) Black Terry, Chico Che, Golden Magic vs Canis Lupus, El Imposible, Picudo Jr.
4) Emo Extreme, Extreme Tiger, Toscano vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Eterno, X-Fly
5) Súper Nova vs Dinamic Black [NWA OLD LH]
Super Nova is the champion.

This is the maybe NWA Mexico sanctioned NWA Light Heavyweight championship that Super Nova somehow won in the Pacific Northwest. They’re the old CMLL belts that the NWA took from them and gave to Blue Demon, who pretty much just gave them to his friends and so there are more unsanctioned worthless belts floating around Mexico. I can’t thank the NWA enough for doing that, great job everyone. Main event should be fun and I hope Dinamic Black continues forming his own eight belt trophy and then throws seven of them into the ocean.

On the other hand, a team of Emo Extreme, Extreme Tiger, and Toscano. Only in IWRG.

CMLL (FRI) 07/12/2013 Arena Mexico
1) Eléctrico & Último Dragoncito vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pierrothito
2) Diamante, Sagrado, Tritón vs Namajague, Puma, Shigeo Okumura
3) Diamante Azul, La Máscara, Shocker vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Blue Panther, Rush, Super Porky vs Averno, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpión
5) ? vs ?? [En Busca de un Idolo, final]
most likely Valiente vs Vangelis
6) Atlantis, Máscara Dorada, Mistico vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero

They’re already ramping up Atlantis vs Ultimo Guerrero; lots of them in the main events for the next 3 months.
