1) Cósmico & Mini Multifacetico b Oficialito 911 & Oficialito Fierro
Cosmico replaced Mini Canis Lupus & Mini Cobra, while AK47 did not appear for the rudos.
2) Alan Extreme, El Sable, Niko b Freelance, Saruman, Serpiente de Oro
Sable’s debut here – he’s from Hidalgo.
3) Canis Lupus, Carta Brava Jr., Scorpio b Chico Che, Dinamic Black, Golden Magic
Carta Brava and Dinamic Black feuded heavily.
4) Cien Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Negro Navarro, Pantera, Veneno
Heavy’s teammates didn’t trust him, especially since Heavy was screwing around before match, but it was revealed to be a way to mess with Negro Navarro. Team Metal took falls 1/3, Heavy using the ropes to beat Negro in the third.
5) Eterno b Danny Casas [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
Eterno won the first with a Style Clash. Danny Casas took a quick second fall with a casita. Danny kicked out of the Super Styles Clash but Eterno put him down with a superplex for the win. First defense for Eterno.

It’d be funny if Heavy Metal was turning rudo here while being a big time tecnico for TripleMania. Crowd did support Eterno over Danny Casas in the main event, so it’d probably work if they were a rudo team.

Kaiser Sports has some post show quotes from Hijo del Santo. He confirmed LA Park and Dr. Wagner Jr. will meet on their next show (May 11), but Santo feels Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera is too small for a mask match between the two and will only run it in Plaza de Toros Mexico (41,000 seats) if the two agree to it. If I stop to take this serious, that seems at least two times to large, though it’s all dependent on how cheap the tickets are. Santo thinks La Migra will be back, but with a slightly different trio because one of them has signed with WWE. (Not mentioned which one, but there are a couple twitter messages which seem to give it away.) As for his own trio, Santo says teaming up with Solitario & Wagner is dependent on his partners willingness to do so, but he appreciated them working together and not teasing a betray at any moment of their match.

If TxT stays with their current schedule, they’ll either be running their June show on the 8th or the 15th (the night before TripleMania, which would make for a busy weekend.)

CMLL Gaceta has an interview with Atlantis, talking about wrestling for thirty years. Atlantis notes he’s frequently challenged for mask matches – “even people from other companies” – but in his view, the mask match with Ultimo Guerrero should just be a one on one battle and no one else should be involved. Atlantis is willing to talk about other matches after he gets thru that one. Atlantis says the biggest moment of his career was his first mask win over Talisman, because he didn’t know if he’d win or if his career would just end right there. Atlantis has no idea what he’d do if he lost his mask, saying he may just run out of the ring, but he can’t imagine the situation.

CMLL announced Tuesday and Friday Arena Mexico shows will have children’s tickets marked down to 1 peso. It only applies to children under 10, and from row 11 and back. CMLL also mentioned the May 1oth (Friday) show will be their Mother’s Day show.

  1. Surprised Santo didn’t go full out BS Santo and say they would do it in Estadio Azteca and it would sell out

  2. That 6/1 LEGEND Lucha Fanfest is to help pay Lasser’s bills for a surgery as he needs a replacement hip. Very sad to hear that. Lasser was always one of my guilty pleasures. A more charasmatic version of Skayde. Their styles are very similar. Hopefully the show can help him out.
