CMLL on Fox Sports (Mexico): 2013-03-30

taped 2013-03-22 @ Arena Mexico

triple tope

Misterioso Jr., Namajague, Shigeo Okumura vs Ángel de Oro, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr.: Namajague is going to be just fine! We will all miss his mask, but he’s even more expressive without it and he – and everyone else – was working just as hard the week after the match. Good match, one where I wanted to see more of the feuding four guys than the other two but Misterioso and Angel de Oro weren’t bad either. Storyline was typical ‘they won the battle but the war will continue – on spot shows near you!’ stuff and that’s perfectly fine with me.

La Sombra, Rush, Thunder vs Averno, Mephisto, Terrible: Thunder looks very green and uncomfortable working they style they have him doing. Why they have him doing headscissors in and armdrags, I don’t know. The match was solely about his debut, he didn’t look and the crowd wasn’t into him as much as you’d hope for as long as he’s been hyped. The way he walked off right after the match maybe indicated he was as unhappy about his performance as were the people who watching them.

  1. CMLL Mini Extravaganza on Fight Network Canada was:

    Show 1:
2010-04-30 Arena Mexico 4 of 6: Pequeño Warrior b Bracito de Oro [mask]

The big blowoff to weeks of build on this series. Solid, crowd was really behind Bracito. His daughters all cried together as they unmasked him with Brazo.

    Show 2:
2010-05-14 Arena Mexico 2 of 6: Bam Bam, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito DQ Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Warrior *

Crowd was really pro rudo or especially hating on Bam Bam. Shockercito was the only tecnico fav getting a pretty good chant for him in the 2nd fall. DQ after a foul.
