Psycho Circus vs Navarros, Maximo to NJPW, AJPW wrestlers to Mexico

IWRG (SUN) 04/07/2013 Arena Naucalpan [IWRG]
2) Centvrión, Dinamic Black, Golden Magic b Alan Extreme, Carta Brava Jr., Imposible
3) Pasion Kristal, Polvo de Estrellas, Yuriko b Chico Che, Spartaco, Trauma II
Espartaco’s debut. Lots of exotico comedy.
4) Negro Navarro & Trauma I b Cien Caras Jr. & Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 [IWRG IC TAG]
Navarros took 1/3 to keep the titles. Navarro & Trauma I sixth known defense. The Psycho Circus came out for this match while the Navarros were still at ringside, challenged for a tag title shot, and got into a brawl with the Navarros.
5) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Danny Casas, Heavy Metal, Veneno
Casas Family took falls 2/3, the last when the Navarros (this time with Trauma II) distracted the Clowns. Navarros asked for a title shot (the Casas Family just kind of disappeared.)

Some of this will turn up in tomorrow’s video post. I had three ideas on how record the segunda, they all didn’t work out, and all I have is a few minutes of mat work and LAS cutting away when they went to the first dive. (When they came back, the match was over.) The tercera went forever, 40 minutes from pre-match interviews to the time they started interviews for the next match, with a lot of non-wrestling fooling around before, during and after the match. It didn’t occur to me last night, but I bet they were stalling since Negro Navarro was coming from the Arena Coliseo, which again went very long. Negro did find time to change gear somewhere along the way.

Silver King, Silver King Jr. and Alebrije Jr. (? – maybe the new AAA one) won the main event of a show in new Arena Pericoapa. That show reads like it’s a Silver King trainees show (+ Steve Pain.)

AAA will interview the Inferno Rockers tonight.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Lucha Libre In Japan

Maximo is listed on the NJPW 05/03 PPV, working an atomicos opening match. He’s also on the tour that accompanies the show, starting on 04/19. Just trios and atomicos, and no matches with Taichi’s (so FantasticaMania was the end of that, as it seemed.)

(via Open the Puroresu Gate) All Japan announced they’d be sending 2 wrestlers, Andy Woo and Hiroki Inaba, to Mexico to train. Andy Woo is a masked wrestler doing Chinese martial arts character (and presumably not actually Chinese.) Inaba is a trainee who hasn’t debuted in AJPW. They say they’re not going to work only for a specific promotion, but do mention possibly working with AAA and training with Pantera. There’s no specific mention of when they’re coming to Mexico and they say their length of stay depends how it goes. The last AJPW trainees to come to Mexico were Bushi (now NJPW), Kai and Yamato, who all worked primary with IWRG.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 04/11/2013 Arena Naucalpan
1) Galaxy vs Dragón Celestial
2) Mr. Leo & Saruman vs Alan Extreme & Fulgor
3) Dinamic Black, Trauma II, Veneno vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Eita, Tomahawk
4) el Ángel vs Eterno [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
Angel is champion. Attempt at a 5th defense.
5) CIMA, Toscano, Trauma I vs Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Súper Nova, X-Fly

Such a random group of individuals in the main event.

Eterno is a fine luchador to be getting a title shot, but Centviron just won a shot at this title before the holiday break. What happened?

04/20 AAA Fusion Lineup (Cordoba)

AAA FUSION (SAT) 04/20/2013 Estadio Beisborama, Córdoba, Veracruz
1) ? vs ??
locals dark match
2) Jinzo & Lucky Boy vs Black Mamba & Yuriko
3) Atomic Boy, Faby Apache, La Jarochita vs Gran Apache, Sexy Lady, Taya Valkyrie
4) Crazy Boy & Joe Lider vs Dr. Cerebro & Eterno
5) Alan Stone, El Elegido, Toscano vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker
6) Drago, Fénix, Octagón vs Chessman, Pentagón Jr., Silver King
7) Cibernético, Cuervo, Escoria vs Daga, Halloween, Psicosis

air date: 05/02 to 05/16 – though these matches have been shorter, so maybe it’s 3 to a show and only two weeks?

Lineup from here. KrisZ has the lineup – and it being FUSION – confirmed. The article says this is the first time AAA’s taped TV in Cordoba. This baseball stadium is a 12,000 seater. AAA ran the same building about this time last year, with Dr. Wagner and Electroshock vs La Parka & Silver King on top.

It doesn’t seem like anything in particular is happening on these Fusion shows. I guess it’s possible this is post roster split, but there’s no sign of of people being shuffled by such a thing. I’d be surprised if anything happens in that direction before TripleMania, but maybe that’s something AAA needs to say – all they’ve done so far is announce there will be a split, and then taped weeks of TV where no split is evident.

Semimain could be quite good if Octagon gets lost coming to the ring. Rockers match will be a test to see if Toscano’s new trio can have good matches, or if their characters make that unlikely.

Mexican Powers vs IWRG match is listed as a battle for honor, but AAA calls a lot of matches that.

Atomic Boy and Gran Apache continue fighting.
