6) Atlantis, Shocker, Thunder b Averno, Mephisto, Mr. Águila
Tecnicos took 2/3. Aguila won the only rudo fall with a foul. Shocker beat Mr. Aguila clean in the third fall. Shocker challenged Aguila twice to a mask match, and the crowd convinced Aguila to accept the second time.

Surprised they agreed to the hair match so quick, but not complaining. I’m guessing that’s the main event on 04/26 with the Gran Alternativa in the semimain, but it wasn’t said. Nothing else of note.

Today’s CMLL shows will apparently feature the teaser of a new Pierroth. This follows the new Mistico, and Diamante Azul being dressed up as Blue Demon and Diamante as El Santo. I’m okay with this if this means the original Pierroth, gets paid well. It appears to be a new Pierroth, and not one of the many knockoffs from the 2000s, based on the tattoos.

AAA Fusion tapes tonight in Arena Lopez Mateos. The focus in on the Gran Apache vs Atomic Boy feud, down in the tercera. They’ll probably run something new, because there’s not much ongoing otherwise. This past week’s AAA Fusion is up on AAA’s YouTube channel.

Pesta Negra face the Invasors in Arena Lopez Mateos on May 1st.

CMLL Gaceta has an incomplete list of apuesta results in Arena Coliseo.

A report from the Blue Demon autograph signing and Babe Face’s food stand.

Lucha Libre In Japan

Ray says she’ll be getting challenging Marcela for the CMLL Women’s Championship (should she still be champ) on the June 30th REINA show.

Valiente & La Mascara challenge Tama Tonga & Terrible for the CMLL Tag Team Championship tomorrow. NJPW hasn’t hyped this match at all, which I think means Valiente & La Mascara might actually win this.

It sounds like Sombra is the teased CMLL character in NJPW’s card game. Haven’t seen the card but have seen people mention on Twitter in Japanese.

5) La Sombra, Marco Corleone, Shocker vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Águila, Rey Escorpión

No hair match yet. Maybe the same week as the final?

I’m not ready for another tournament of unsatisfying 4 minute matches, but at least there are some interesting teams. Mascara Dorada & Oro Jr. is the best and should win. Hombre Bala teams with the guy who took his dad’s mask. Disturbio makes a great lackey for Volador. Maximo & Robin are brothers teaming for the first time. Putting Taurus in this and having him not team with Ultimo Guerrero is amusing for it’s own reasons.

Sensei, Herodes, Bobby Zavala, Espanto and Camaleon were also announced for this tournament, so that’s five for next week. Three of Cholo, Super Halcon, Inquisidor and Genesis will probably round out the field. Best case final  Oro Jr. & Mascara Dorada vs Bobby Zavala & Rey Escorpion, and I think that’s actually reasonably possible.

Vaquerita’s Arena Mexico debut, sadly lacking the 3 months of Thunder-like video packages.
