5) Ricky Marvin & Super Crazy b Daga & Joe Lider and Chucho el Roto & Iron Love and Aeroboy & Violento Jack [UWE TAG]
Four way elimination match. Violento Jack & Iron Love went to a double pin. The crowd was very unhappy, and the promoter annulled the elimination and allowed both teams to continue. Daga & Joe Lider beat Iron Love & Chucho el Roto, Ricky Marvin & Super Crazy beat Violento Jack & Aeroboy, and Super Crazy beat Joe Lider to win the titles. Los Mexitosos are already GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of the show, which he’ll be selling on his website.

IWRG (SUN) 02/10/2013 Arena Naucalpan [IWRG]
1) Galaxy & Serpiente de Oro b Dragón Celestial & Epidemia
Straight falls.
2) Hijo del Pantera & Seiya b Fulgore & Yack
3) Chico Che, Golden Magic, Suicida b Alan Extreme, Alemán, Carta Brava Jr.
First Aleman match since August.
4) Canis Lupus, el Ángel, Eterno b Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Trauma II [Relevos Increíbles]
Focus was on the Trauma II/Angel feud, but Trauma II also didn’t get along at all with the Oficials. First fall with the tecnicos won. Oficials took a break in the second fall, leaving Trauma II to be thrashed by the opposing trio. After Angel hit Trauma II with a tope, the Oficials came back towards the ring, but Canis & Eterno took them out with dives. Angel and 911 made it back in, but Trauma II cut Angel off from a top rope move. 911 hit Trauma II with a chair, Angel took out 911 with a top rope move and got the pin in straight falls. 911 repeated his challenge for a three way mask match with Angel & Trauma II.
5) Decnnis, Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Scorpio Jr. b Pantera, Trauma I, Veneno
Guapito was with Decnnis and Scorpio, who returned here for the first time since October (and it’s Decnnis’ first visit as an indy guy.) Rudos took 1/3, Wagner sneaking in a foul on Veneno.

Dunno when it happens, but IWRG is going to do that Angel vs Trauma II vs 911 mask match at some point.

There’s so much good stuff in this week’s SuperLuchas, but the one that pops out to me is the ‘review’ of the 02/02 XMW , written by Alejandro Islas. The results are covered, but it’s really about taking a hammer to XMW for both supporting a dangerous hardcore style “considered antiquated and obsolete by the rest of the world” and not supporting Astro de Plata after his injury – why is it up to luchadors sell their merchandise to raise money, and Black Mamba to run (an unsanctioned) show to benefit Plata? The article does not come out against the main event where Plata was actually hurt – in fact, he calls it the best match of the night but also brutal.

There’s also a recap of the Friday night Carlito show on his weekend tour. Pretty much every main eventer (Dr. Wagner, Canek, Lizmark Jr., Charlie Haas) did not make the show,  with a replacement main event of Carlito defeating Chris Masters. Ricky Marvin and Eita were a couple of replacements, and had a singles match which was said to be the best on the show. Show looks to have drawn poorly.

One other thing that stuck out to me is their interview with luchadora Keira. She mentions she’s 17, which just stuns me because she’s been on shows since 2010. I know of plenty of men who’ve started at early ages, but not many women who debuted at 14 or 15.

Rob has highlights of 01/15/13 CMLL and The Greatest Entrance Ever.

Bill has highlights of 2011 Castle of Terror.

Gran Petronio has passed away.

Ray Mendoza Jr.’s retirement tour includes a trios match with his sons for the Juniors promotion on 02/17.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 02/14/2013 Arena Naucalpan
1) Serpiente de Oro vs Dragón Celestial
2) Ángel Del Amor, Chico Che, Saruman vs Alan Extreme, Danny Casas, Imposible
3) Centvrión, Dinamic Black, Golden Magic vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Canis Lupus, Eita
4) Dr. Cerebro, el Ángel, Hijo de Pirata Morgan vs Factor, Súper Nova, X-Fly
5) Cerebro Negro vs Carta Brava Jr. [WWS WELTER]
Cerebro Negro is champion, trying for the second defense

Cerebro Negro defending his title against a FILL trained guy every few weeks makes for an exciting promotion. I’m not being sarcastic.

This is Eita’s first appearance since taking a martinete in the final of the El Protector tournament last month. That’s also the show that aired on TVC Deportes last night as part of IWRG’s 2013 return to that network (though I don’t think those two facts are related.) Angel del Amor is a Arena Lopez Mateos guy who’d be debuting here.

CMLL (SUN) 02/17/2013 Arena Mexico
1) Oro Jr. & Robin vs Camorra & Herodes Jr.
2) Shockercito, Stukita, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico
3) Diamante, Metálico, Tritón vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
4) Delta vs Puma [lightning]
5) Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso Jr., Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
6) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Psicosis [CMLL TRIOS]
Bufete del Amor are champions, going for their 7th defense. The Invasors are national trios champions, but their titles are not on the line (and could not be, because Marco is ineligible to win those.)

Bufete del Amor should retain their titles. If the Invasors win, something is definitely up with Rush.

Stukita’s first non-Tuesday show.

TxT (SAT) 03/02/2013 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Diosa Maya & La Vaquerita vs Esther Moreno & Rossy Moreno
2) Dinamic Black, Freelance, Golden Magic vs Carta Brava Jr., Comando Negro, Mike Segura
3) Decnnis, Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Oriental vs Black Terry, Fuerza Guerrera, Pirata Morgan
4) Huracan Ramirez, Solar I, Super Astro vs Negro Navarro, Scorpio Jr., Shu el Guerrero
5) El Hijo Del Santo & Villano IV vs Angel Blanco Jr. & El Hijo del Solitario

Arena Lopez Mateos is roughly 1/4th the size of Gimnasio Juan De La Barrera, the previous home of TxT. Still, there were some card where they seemed to be filling 1/4th of that building, so maybe this is a good idea. The 2012 version of the main event was excellent.

Vaquerita is listed. She was pulled off a recent show for another group in this same building because she’s affiliated with CMLL (though she’s only made that one appearance in Puebla more than 3 months ago) and it was an AAA main event. Unless something’s changed, she won’t be making this one either.

LEGEND (SUN) 03/17/2013 Arena Lopez Mateos

4) El Fantasma, Kendo, Villano III vs Blue Panther, Scorpio Jr., Zeus
