== AAA ==

AAA-Televisa: Perro & Parka Negra vs Cibernetico & La Parka, plus more Apache vs Atomic Boy and probably the opener.

AAA-Fusion: Back! In a fashion! They aired the semifinals of the AAA/WAVE Reina de Reinas tournament tonight, so probably the final and the Fenix/Pimpi tag match tag match next week. They’ve had this footage for a while, and I wonder if the situation here is like the main AAA show – they held back on airing unaired shows until they planned on running tapings again. (Though that would mean a taping next weekend and there probably would be at least a taping location out by now.)

== CMLL ==

Galavision/Televisa: Women and Maximo, Rush, Shocker vs Mephisto, Terible, Ultimo Guerrero

FOX: The Sensei/Soberano Jr. vs Camorra/Guerrero Negro Jr. opener, and the first half the Reyes del Aire Block A. Note that in the US, this show will continue to air on Sunday all month long.

52MX: Polvora vs Valiente, and Invasors vs Bufete

C3: Sombra vs Niebla

GDL: Dragon Rojo vs Titan, more Thunder

TVC Deportes (Puebla): Negro Casas vs Valiente, more Thunder.

Terra: Invasors vs Bufete plus Metalico vs Virus

== Other ==

IWRG-AYM Sports: Chico Che, Golden Magic, Mike Segura vs Alan Extreme, Carta Brava Jr., and Aleman. Also, Pantera in the main event, which might be the first time a Segura and Pantera (II) have been on the same show since Pantera I started pointing out how Pantera II shouldn’t be wrestling masked.

IWRG-TVC Deportes: Returns! Carta Brava Jr. vs Cerebro Negro, Piratas vs Oficaials

Noches de Coliseo: Electro/Juvi vs Carlito/Daivari, probably Traumas vs Silver/Diluvio

Tercera Caida, AAA, Namajague, Black Spirit

This week’s Tercera Caida has more info on Astro de Plata and lots of IWRG guests as they return to TVC Deportes this weekend.

On his Twitter account, Konnan’s been going back and forth with the Penas about going AAA to overturn their firing. Almost like there’s problems with this story. For his part, Dorian just promises more surprises. It’s possible Konnan and Dorian will be gone for zero (o) weeks depending on how they play out this story, but then it’d be even weirder to have broken up the rudo faction. I don’t know. We’ll find out on the 02/18 show. I did enjoy that the entire storyline goes totally unmentioned in Estrellas del Ring‘s recap of the show.

CMLL Gaceta has an interview with Stuka, saying he could challenge Namajague to a mask match after Friday’s match. This suggests Namajague is still wrestling in that match, but I wouldn’t be sure about that until it happens.

Next Tuesday’s card Arena Coliseo Monterrey card lists a tag team of Xtreme Boy & Black Spirit as “Dinastia Tapia”. The Tapia’s are LA Park, Super Parka and family, but Black Spirit was the name Hijo de LA Park started out using. New LA Park son? Something else?

R de Rudo has an interview with Xtreme Tiger about his independent track.

Arena Queretaro has an almost full CMLL show on 02/28. Pesta Negra vs Bufete del Amor seems to have replaced Mistico as the touring CMLL main event attraction.

AAA posted the first part of their interview with Fabi Apache & Cuervo. They’ll be doing a webcast Pentagon Jr. & Parka Negra tonight. It’ll be the first time Parka Negra has talked since debuting; they’ve been keeping him quiet to conceal his identity. My understanding is the current Canis Lupus in IWRG is the same deal – it’s someone who’s been in IWRG previously under another identity (and this guy‘s heard the same name I have)  – and that’s possibly why it sounded like he had something in his mouth when he was talking on Tercera Caida, he was purposefully trying to disguise his voice. I wonder if they’ll do something like that on the AAA webcast with Parka Negra.

AAA now has a Mascarita Dorada paper toy.

Lineups

CMLL (MON) 02/11/2013 Arena Puebla
1) Aereo, Astral, Pequeño Halcón vs Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Violencia
2) Camaleón, Höruz, Leono vs Espiritu Maligno, Fuerza Chicana, King Jaguar
3) Dark Angel, Goya Kong, Marcela vs Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit, Zeuxis
4) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Thunder vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Terrible
5) Rush vs Último Guerrero

Rush and UG had a match before; I remember as the point where I gave up on Ultimo Guerrero having an interesting singles match at any point in the future.

Minis working the opener instead of the locals is different, but it’s probably just knock off from having a singles main event and only five matches.

CMLL (TUE) 02/12/2013 Arena Mexico
1) Bengala & Metatrón vs Akuma & Zayco
2) Acero, Bam Bam, Fantasy vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
3) Diamante, Rey Cometa, Sagrado vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Skándalo, Vangelis
4) Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Pólvora [lightning]
5) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Rey Escorpión, Terrible, Tiger
6) Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Shocker

Sombra/Niebla over, so back to nothing in particular. Main event has Panther vs the Casas.

CMLL (TUE) 02/12/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Javier Cruz Jr. & Virgo vs In Memoriam & Sádico
2) Esfinge & Sensei vs Bárbaro Cavernario & Inquisidor
3) Hombre Bala Jr., Starman, Super Halcón Jr. vs Hijo del Signo, Hooligan, Nosferatu
4) Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Super Porky vs Black Warrior, Ephesto, Misterioso Jr.
5) Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Thunder vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero

Thunder continues to work Monday Puebla, Tuesday Guadalajara and no where else.

CMLL seems to putting keeping the main event trios groups – Peste Negra, Guerreros, Bufete del Amor in these lineups – all together in matches. Not sure if it’s a plan.

CMLL IWL (SUN) 02/24/2013 Cento de Convenciones Tlalnepantla
1) Arkanos & Rayo Del Futuro vs Payaso Carroña & Payaso Terror
2) Perico, Quimco Jr., Último Vampiro vs Ojo Diabolico, Templario, Yago

4) Ángel o Demonio, León Rojo, Ovett vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
5) Carta Brava Jr. I, Ricky Marvin, Super Crazy vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Mephisto, Último Guerrero

Post here. IWL hasn’t usually used CMLL guys, but they will be for this show. I wonder what we’ll get out of the main event.

CMLL (MON) 02/11/2013 Arena Puebla
1) Aereo, Astral, Pequeño Halcón vs Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Violencia

great match roundup, week of 2013-01-26

Great/Excellent Matches

CMLL on Fox Sports (Mexico): 2013-01-26
Fuego, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. vs Namajague, Vangelis, Virus – GREAT

CMLL on CadenaTres: 2013-01-26
Terrible vs Rush for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship – EXCELLENT

Tercera Caida: 2013-01-31
Ricky Marvin & Super Crazy b Fenix (AAA) & Pesadilla [GHC JH TAG] – GREAT. Ricky Marvin & Super Crazy as a team are easily just a cut above everyone else wrestling their style. It’s just a matter of everyone else being able to keep it up, and their opponents here were willing. Fenix’s willingness to take dangerous landings on moves is borderline scary, but he pulled off some great bits here when he wasn’t falling on his head. This was probably beyond Pesadilla’s capabilities, but he wasn’t an anchor on the match either. This was decidedly a Japanese match being done by luchadors, but it was a very spectacular one.

Shows Watched But Nothing Made The List

CMLL Guerreros del Ring on 52MX: 2013-01-26
CMLL on Televisa: 2013-01-26
AAA on Televisa: 2013-01-27

Matches I Missed That I Should Maybe Check Out

IWRG on TVC Deportes is not airing and I don’t have a match list for AYM yet. (It appears to be a mix between at least two different shows.) Puebla and GDL probably had some good matches but nothing that looked Great.

Cerebro Negro vs Dinamic Black looked good on Tercera Caida.

The Hijo de Rey II/Bestia match should probably go on this part of the list next week.
