mouse trap!

Hijo del Fantasma, Stuka Jr., Valiente vs Namajague, Puma, Tiger: really fun match. Tiger and Puma are still a fun team, even without getting to be one so often. Puma particularly was great in distracting the referee at all the right times here for Namajague’s mask pulling antics. Tecnicos were all good, especially the Valiente/Puma battle to start the match. They got a lot of time; it felt longer because it was split over two falls, but I’m pretty sure the first fall alone was longer than some 52MX matches this week. They made really good use of that time to put together an entertaining match. Finish was great, poor Namajague thinks he’s got this lucha libre thing figured out only for Stuka to out trick him. This should be fun.

this was just great

Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr. for the CMLL World Trios Championship: Liked this match better watching it for a second time. The first fall was standard stuff but the last two felt like more than that; the dive spots were really good as was the Aero Italiano reversal bit. It still could’ve used another moment where it seemed like the rudo were really about to win (as opposed to the stuff they do in every trios match that doesn’t work), but the finishing bit with Volador’s superkick was great. Psicosis is a good friend. Sure, he cost his team the trios titles, but he stood up for Volador against that mean bully Rush.
