not your usual legdrop

Lolita, Mascarita Dorada, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Mini Psicosis, Polvo de Estrellas, Taya Valkyrie: perfectly fine opening match that got an already excited crowd into the show. Everyone got a chance to do something (except maybe Mini Psicosis, and the finish would set up something for him and Dorada if AAA was ever interested in doing 1 on 1 minis matches.) Taya and Lolita seemed to get the briefest time in the ring of the three pairs, but Taya was a much goofier seller than expected in her first match on this show.

a rough day for Escoria

Escoria, Espíritu, Ozz vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker: much more of an even battle than expected between the team on the winning streak and the three guys who are barely on TV. A large part of that is sticking to formula – técnicos get the early offense and the comeback – but Espiritu got some believable near wins before he was beat. This made it more entertaining, though less successful in building up the Rockers as a force. I can’t imagine them actually ending up as a force in AAA, so this was good!

highs and lows for Perro

Cibernético & El Mesías vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Texano Jr.: partially undoes the damage from the last Mesías/Texano match, though I’m not still why having Mesías beat Texano improved anything at all; these are top guys who can might be able to go 50/50 (though never do so without interference), this is a top guy and a guy you’re trying to make who needs wins. He got one here. This match itself was mostly an AAA brawl, but there was some good parts of it and it’s probably as good as you can reasonably expect with Perro and Cibernético feuding. Hopefully Guerra de Titanes will bring stuff as fun as the double stomp->spear bit here.
