CMLL (FRI) 12/14/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLLYahoo! Deportes]
***Sin Piedad, 2012***
1) Astral, Bam Bam, Fantasy b Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito
Tecnicos toik 1/3. Bam Bam beat Demus with his usual legdrop, which was severe enough to cause Demus to be strechered out.
2) Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit b Dark Angel, Estrellita, Silueta
Rudas took 2/3. RadioCMLL announcers pushed the idea of Amapola challenging Estrellita for her newly won belt.
3) Titán, Tritón, Valiente b Felino, Negro Casas, Puma
Tecnicos took 2/3. Titan, who one upon the time won a tournament where one of the prizes was he was going to wrestle in the main event every show the rest of the year, worked in the tercera. He also battled Zacarias in this match.
4) Averno b Máscara Dorada [lightning]
Averno won with a Devil’s Wings in 8:02. Mascara Dorada’s recent run of bad results continue.
5) Terrible, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. b Diamante Azul, Rush, Shocker
Ultimo Guerrero beat Shocker with his own reinera.
6) La Sombra b Tama Tonga [Copa Jr., final]
Rush and Terrible were seconds. Tama took the first in 4:31 with a top rope tornillo, previously unseen from him. Sombra won the second with in 7:59 a suplex. Sombra took the third (9:52, 17:51 total) with what came across on radio as another botched ref count – the ref counting three when Tama kicked out (and the match was not intended to be over.)

Maybe wrestlers and edecanes wore Christmas colored outfits.

AAA’s YouTube channel posted vignettes from the show early, which reveal Mesias vs Texano and the Octagon Jr. debut (and Parka Negra/Pentagon Jr. debut) will air today. The trailer for next week hypes the ladder match and the cage match. It is possible they might just air two matches a week, and that’ll stretch the taping out to cover the extra week they need. The Relevos AAA and Rockers vs Circus would be left for week 3. The regional show would be left having to fill a lot of time, but they seem okay with that.

CMLL 52MX is airing the top 3 from last Sunday.

Noti AAA announced Twitter accounts for Super Fly and Yuriko. Unsure if these are real; the actual AAA account mentioned the Super Fly one later in the day, so it might be.

Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Dragon Rojo, Euforia, Niebla Roja, Misterioso and Stuka are working a show next Sunday in Denver. That’s a lot of people flying it, but sounds like a good show.

R de Rudo makes the case for Joe Lider, Wrestler of the Year. I totally disagreed with this when I saw the headline, and I still wouldn’t vote for him, but there’s a decent case being made – he did win four different hair matches, including on one TripleMania.

Rob has highlights of 06/18 and 06/19/98 AAA

Black Terry Jr. has video of the opening match and the Eita/Imposible vs Saruman/Dinamic Black segunda: first fall, second fall, third fall

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 12/21/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Hombre Bala Jr. & Super Halcón Jr. vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Dalis la Caribeña, Estrellita, Silueta vs Amapola, Princesa Sugheit, Tiffany
3) Fuego, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. vs Namajague, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
4) Valiente vs Averno [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, La Sombra, Titán vs Negro Casas, Terrible, Tiger
6) Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr.

Amapola and Estrellita are matched up again, so maybe they’re up to something. Then again, Averno is in the lighting match again, so maybe they’re just being random. Main event is the closest the actual trios champs have come to teaming up in a month.
