Aerostar, Extreme Tiger, Súper Fly vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker: slow starting match that got really fun for a while. Still wanted more, but much better than the last Rockers match. Sad Super Fly’s return ended so painfully; I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone land on the top rope like that during that dive. Not only do the Rockers have slightly different outfits, they’re getting slightly different personalities (or Soul was just on something during this match.)

Ricky Marvin & Super Crazy vs Daga & Halloween [GHC JH TAG]: had much potential to be a really great match, but fell short when Halloween just could not go longer. He went quite a ways with his ribs messed up and took a lot of punishment (some which could’ve made it worse), but was becoming more limited as the match wore on. There might have been a neat idea in Daga surviving 1 on 2 for an extended bit if they had been ready for it – certainly, the odd decision for returning heroes Super Crazy & Ricky Marvin to play rudo would’ve worked with it – but they instead just seemed to go with the Marvin/Daga section of their plan and it missed a bit. A good match in terms of weekly TV, but something I’d look back at the end of the year as a missed opportunity rather than one you need to go out of your way to see.
