Lots of mic work before the match, with Park and Canek talking about working together. 26:08. Canek fouled Dr. Wagner ‘on instinct’, then shoved down the referee and declared that as long as he was on his feet, he couldn’t have actually lost. A new referee took over, but was knocked down. Wagner got the visual pin, but Park fouled him and got away with it for the win.

IWRG (SUN) 12/02/2012 Arena Naucalpan [DJ Spectro, Estrellas del Ring, IWRG]
1) Mini Ozz, Mini Psicosis, Piratita Morgan Jr. b Mini Batista, Mini Rey Cometa, Mini Super Astro
Mini Ozz replaced Mini Espiritu. Comic mini match in the style pre-Mascara Sagrada .

Avisman replaced Centvrion, who was otherwise busy this weekend.
3) Rayan & Spartan b Oficial AK47 & Oficial Fierro
Spartan beat Factor. No ring announcer or music for this match.
4) Bestia 666, Canis Lupus, Damián 666 b el Ángel, Trauma I, Trauma II
Traumas and Angel had problems, and are now feuding again.
5) Factor L Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Oficial 911 [cage, mask, Prison Fatal]
Luchadors were stuck in for five minutes, then had to climb to the top of the cage to get their key, then climb back down to unlock their chains from the cage, then climb out once more to escape. Pirata and Mascara escaped, Pirata actually helping Mascara fend off the various police. All the other Oficials and Comandos came in, fought, then all tried to leave. Factor was distracted and didn’t realize 911 had tied one of the chains around his leg, trapping him and leaving him the loser. Fator is Cesar Caballero, no other info given. Spectro says he Factor was one of the Megas.

The DTU show in Xalapa featured the ring breaking in the semfinal.

SuperLuchas notes there’s an independent Pentagon Jr. It probably has nothing to do with the AAA one, who’s design matches the just debuted Octagon Jr. For what it’s worth, as a follow up to the previous post, I’m being told Mortiz and Taboo are not either of the new characters.

Dr. Wagner Jr. is now listed as one of the characters in the WashaWasha/Tinieblas video game (still mostly unfunded). This would mean AAA (Wagner) vs CMLL (Porky) would take place in a video game, and Dr. Wagner would be part of a second lucha libre video game claiming to be the first ever lucha libre game.

DJ Spectro, now on Facebook, recaps the mask/hair/title matches of the month.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update and Alfredo on the latest new CMLL star.

Lucha Libre In Japan (or not)

There’s no participation on the annual 01/04 NJPW Tokyo Dome show, their biggest show of the year. It’s the first time CMLL hasn’t been on that card since 2008.

Tama Tonga is on the Tokyo Dome card, but not on the last tour of the year for Japan. He should be around Mexico for a little bit longer. Namajague is not the Tokyo Dome show, so his stay looks to be continuing at least until the FantasticaMania shows later in January and perhaps longer.

One thought to “LA Park beat Wagner & Canek, Factor unmasked, DTU breaks table.”

  1. Pentagon Jr. looks like a younger guy… but what are the chances that Parka Negra is a guy like Decnis (for example) who has recently departed AAA?
