Maniacos (with Trolli) laid out Vampiro before the match, then got the win.

AAA recap doesn’t add too many more details (and doesn’t mention Halloween’s injury.) Not totally sure who pinned who in the main event.

Attendance does not look as bad in some pictures as it did in the early ones, but it’s not a sellout and AAA running in a building of this size (2000) should be one. This was the sixth taping in Mexico City or Mexico State since TripleMania (that show, the Expo, Arena Naucalpan, Ecatepec for regular TV, Sala and this show for Fusion) in about 7 weeks, not to mention other shows in DF (like Wagner and family in Arena Azteca Budokan the same day.) It’s also the 7th show in this arena in the  same time. AAA has pointed out their increased ratings, but they’re not so high they can’t suffer from overexposure.

Hijo de Pirata Morgan wins IWRG Junior championship, Hector Garza in Monterrey, Mexicools vs MexiPowers

IWRG (SUN) 10/21/2012 Arena Naucalpan [IWRG]
1) Epidemia & Matrix Jr. b Astro Rey Jr. & Dragón Celestial
straight falls
2) Alan Extreme, Carta Brava Jr., Comando Negro b Dinamic Black, Golden Magic, Saruman
Money throw in the ring. Alan & Carta trapped Saurman & Dinamic in a star, and Comando Negro dropped Golden Magic on his head with a Comando Storm in the middle. Money thrown in the ring!
3) Eterno, Heddi Karaoui, Violencia Jr. b Relampago, Trauma I, Trauma II
In the opening mat exchange, Trauma II choked Eterno out. Doctors checked on Eterno while Trauma I submitted Violencia and Relampago legdropped Heddi Karaoui on the head, knocking him out. Karaoui was ruled unable to continue and Eterno was semi-conscious, so Violencia was left to fight 1 vs 3 in the third fall. Relampago dived on to Violencia in the second fall, hurting his knee and ending his night. Everyone checked on him, and Eterno & Violencia beat the Traumas. In the third, Trauma II submitted Violencia, Eterno choked out Trauma II, Eterno beat Trauma II with the Eterno Clash for the win.
4) Cien Caras Jr., Scorpio Jr., Zumbido b el Ángel, Negro Navarro, Veneno
Rudos took 1/3. Scorpio & Zumbido are working as a team, but it’s Cien who beat Navarro and asked for a tag title match.
5) Hijo de Pirata Morgan b Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 [#1 Contenders, IWRG JUNIORS]
Single fall. Mascara missed a top rope splash, and Pirata won with Morgan Special.
6) Hijo de Pirata Morgan b Spartan Factor [IWRG JUNIORS]
Spartan Factor (and second Rayan) jumped Pirata (who had Scorpio as his second.) Spartan Factor won fall 1, Pirata stole the second fall, and Rayan accidentally smacked Factor with a chair to set up Pirata’s win. Pirata wins the title back.

This show airs tonight on AYM Sports starting at 9pm.

Hector Garza appeared on the Arena Coliseo Monterrey show (video in the link), talking about his health condition. Perro Aguayo Jr. interrupted, demanding Garza recover so Perro could take Garza’s hair in Monterrey.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 10/25/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) Araña de Plata & Astro Rey Jr. vs Matrix Jr. & Star Boy Jr.
2) Cerebro Negro, La Cobra, Relampago vs Carta Brava Jr., Star Boy, Yack
3) Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro vs Factor, Rayan, Spartan
4) el Ángel vs Heddi Karaoui [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
Angel is champion
5) Barba Roja, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan vs Negro Navarro, Trauma I, Trauma II

Title match subject to Karaoui being cleared, though I’d guess he probably will be. The people who typically comment on this site (including me!) are not fans of Karaoui’s wrestling, but the people who he works with and for seem to like it and a title change wouldn’t be a big surprise here.

2) Cerebro Maligno, Herejía, Judas el Traidor, Rey Krimen vs Demencia Dorada, Dragosth, Gargola, Golden, Psicópata
3) Big Mama vs Taya Valkyire

5) Rocky Santana vs Iron Love [hair]
6) Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis, Super Crazy vs Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider, Último Gladiador
the former Mexicools face the former Mexican Powers

As you may recall, the Mexican Powers were intended to be a redo of the Mexicools in AAA, with Juvi playing Juvi (only better), a fake Super Crazy (Crazy Boy) and a fake Psicosis (Psicosis II). The three guys representing the group here were later injury/defection replacements who got in AAA at least partially due to their connection to Crazy Boy. Psicosis II is probably not available for that main event, but it still calls for some sort of Crazy Boy interference since the DTU Anniversary show is happening here as well.

Not sure if the El Samurai in the fourth is the ex-NJPW guy or a new Japanese guy.

great match roundup, week of 10/13/2012

Great/Excellent matches this week
10/13 AAA: Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker vs Fenix, Freelance, Samurai del Sol – excellent

Have Watched, but nothing made the cut
10/13 CMLL GALA
10/13 CMLL 52MX
10/13 CMLL C3 – Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Rey Cometa vs Black Warrior, Niebla Roja, Puma King was best match on the show, Sombra vs Volador was less a match and more a greatest hits montage.
10/13 CMLL FOX – both matches good for weekly stuff
10/17 AAA FUSION – Infierno Rockers match probably was slightly better in full. The version I saw was one of the worst of the year.

Matches still Sitting on my DVR to watch
Fuego vs Virus from Puebla.
