Mil keeps title, Scorpio loses hair, Volador vs Diamante Azul, 2 new IWRG champs, Rayo no shows Monterrey

Heroes Inmortales results are a post down. I’ll clean them up with the official results when AAA puts them out in the next couple of days.

LMV (SAT) 10/06/2012 Arena Lopez Mateos [Estrellas del Ring]
1) Chispita, La Seductora, Sahori b La Hiedra, Miss Janeth, Sherry Diva
Sherry and Chispita were added to the match. Sherry and Hiedra had problems leading to their loss, resulting in post match challenges.
2) Barba Roja, Bizarro Punk, Fishman Jr. b Abogado del Diablo, Mascara Jr., Perseus
Pantera was scheduled for this match. Mascara Jr. – the one who lost his mask to Dr. Wagner III – replaced him, back to wearing his mask. Abogado del Diablo and Bizarro Punk were also added to the match.
3) Sangre Chicana & Sangre Chicana Jr. b Pantera & Villano III and Diva Salvaje & May Flowers and Coco Amarillo Jr. & Coco Rojo and Brazo de Platino & Super Brazo and Hijo de Pirata Morgan & Pirata Morgan [Copa de Parejas Luchas 2000]
Diva Salvaje replaced Pimpinela. Pantera replaced Pulpo, who was hurt but did appear. Hiedra distracted Villano III, setting up the Chicana win.
4) Mil Mascaras b El Hijo del Solitario [IWA HEAVY]
Mil Mascara kept his title when second Atila Jr. turned on Hijo del Solitario. (Pulpo and Pulpito were Mil’s seconds.) Atila challenged Solitario for a mask vs mask match, in a replay of their father’s 1975 mask match. Atila Sr. didn’t win that one.
5) Scorpio Jr. L Súper MuñecoShu el GuerreroSúper PinochoSúper RatónBlack Terry [hair, cage]
wrestlers had to stay in 10 minutes. Order of escape went Black Terry, Super Raton, Super Pinocho, Shu el Guerrero (betraying Scorpio) and Super Muneco. Scorpio lost his hair.

Atila Jr. is an opponent Hijo del Solitario can actually beat for his mask, though I’m not sure who would pay to see it.

CMLL (SUN) 10/07/2012 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Bengala & Höruz b Camorra & Herodes Jr.
Tecnicos took 1/3. Herodes had a rough night. Rodolfo was referee.
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Artillero, Skándalo b Ángel Azteca Jr., Leono, Metatrón
Metalico was originally announced, but had been hurt previously. Angel Azteca Jr. was listed in his place and wrestled for the first time since June. First Metatron match in DF in months as well. Artillero replaced Hooligan, who slipped and cracked open his head at Arena Puebla, after the match. Rudos took 2/3, Skandalo beating Leono with the Skandalo Driver.
3) Astral, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito DQ Mercurio, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
Mercurio came out of the crowd, knocked Fantasy out of the ring, and surprised him with a tope. Pequeno Warrior started the match wearing his Mini Psicosis mask and wig. Rudos were DQed for excessive violence on Fantasy in the first, then Mercurio pulled Fantasy’s mask in the second fall.
4) Ephesto b Triton [lightning]
Triton now has a scary fish mask mask. Triton faceplanted on the apron going for the springboard moonsault, then later crushed Ephesto on a top rope senton con giro. Ephesto was reported to be bleeding thru his mask. Ephesto won with his cradle in 6:23.
5) Blue Panther, Super Porky, Titán b Black Warrior, Kráneo, Mr. Águila
Tecnicos took 2/3, Titan pinning Aguila to win it.
6) Averno, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr. b Diamante Azul, Rush, Shocker
Rudo took 1/3. Volador feuded heavily with Diamante Azul, including taking his mask and tossing it into the upper deck, which made Azul very unhappy and the two had difficulties working together in the third fall. In the third, rudos pinned Rush with a powerbomb, Azul crushed Averno with a German suplex, and Volador pulled off Azul’s mask as he was being pressed to set up the winning pin. The two set up a singles match for next week.

As noted up there, Volador and Diamante Azul had some genuine tension in the main event. Los Coliseinos said Tony Salazar was upset with the behavior of the wrestlers. Next week should be very interesting.

IWRG (SUN) 10/07/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) La Parkita & Voladorcito b Bracito De Plata & Coquito Orange
an Orange Clown (name unsure) replaced Mr. Aguilita. Tecnicos took 2/3, Parkita beating Plata.
2) Alan Extreme, Imposible, La Sádica b Centvrión, Freelance, Gipsy
The women debuted for IWRG here. Sadica has been turning up on indy shows this year. Gipsy, an unmasked women, is an unknown and seemed to be here just to give Sadica opposition. Women struggled when working against each other and were better working with the men. Straight falls, Alan Extreme submitting Centviron for the win.
3) Rayan b Eterno [IWRG IC WELTER]
Eterno came in as champion. Eterno won the first with a middle rope styles clash, Rayan won the second with a superbomb and the third with a middle rope styles clash. Eterno won the title.
4) Freyser, Pirata Morgan, Tony Rivera b Cien Caras Jr., Heddi Karaoui, Zumbido
after a quick first fall loss, tecnicos took 2/3 to win. Pirata beat Caras Jr. and challenged him to a title match. There was a long discussion of turning it into mask vs hair.
5) el Ángel b VenenoHijo de Pirata MorganOficial AK47FactorHijo de Máscara Año 2000Violencia Jr.Carta Brava Jr. ICarta Brava Jr.Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
The last person in loses their title (to the second to last person to leave) Oficial AK47 was defending his middleweight title. Factor was listed as putting his Rey del Ring title Veneno puts his hair on the line, and the rest put their mask on the line. Lots of blood and mask ripping. Escaped luchadors were given whips to hit escapees, but it did not play a part in the results. Order of escape went Factor, Violencia, Veneno, Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Hijo de Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Carta Brava I, Carta Brava Jr., and then Angel kicked away AK47 to escape and win AK47’s title

Results aren’t in for Arena Coliseo Monterrey, but the big news is: Rayo de Jalisco Jr. no-showed the main event tag match. He had gotten paid previously, but just did not appear. Blue Demon Jr., his scheduled opponent, managed to keep the crowd from getting mad over the replacement (a Mongol Chino) and turned the anger towards Rayo.

A Phantom Lariat won the match for the tecnicos in the main event of today’s Arena Coliseo Guadalajara show. I’ve put together four of the five results, but unsure on the semimain.

Heroes Inmortales live coverage

Today, I’ve got live coverage – or at least the best I can come up with – for today’s Heroes Inmortales show. We’ll also be talking about the CMLL on Terra internet feed, and probably whatever lucha airs on TV tonight. Heroes Inmortales results will appear on this page and over on twitter @luchablog, and we’ll be talking about the shows in a chat at the bottom of this page.

There is no PPV or stream of Heroes Inmortales. AAA’s Twitter account suggested there will be a surprise in regards to transmission – maybe it’ll be placed on YouTube like TripleMania? – but the only way to see AAA’s show tonight is to be in San Luis Potosi. AAA usually posts live results on their Facebook account (reposted to Twitter.) They often stop posting before the end of the show and don’t post complete results, but I’ll b e scanning Twitter to put together the best picture we can.

Heroes Inmortales is listed as starting at 5:45pm, but probably won’t until sometime later than that. Update: show did not start until 7pm.

AAA TV (SUN) 10/07/2012 Domo Centro de Espectaculos, San Luis Potosi
***Heroes Inmortales, 2012***
1) Mini Charly Manson, Mini Histeria, Mini Psycho Clown b Dinastía, Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito
Mini Charly replaced Mini Psicosis.

2) Halloween & Mari Apache b Atomic Boy & Fabi Apache and Fenix & Lolita and Alan Stone & Jennifer Blake [AAA MIXED TAG]
Match was announced for vacant titles, but Alan Stone replaced Ultimo Gladiador and so the tag champs were reunited. Halloween replaced Gran Apache. Both may be explained on TV we haven’t seen yet. Sexi Star was guest referee, which was mentioned when the lineup was announced locally but treated as a surprise here. Halloween and Mari Apache won the titles, with Sexi and Gran Apache helping out.

3) Joe Lider & Vampiro b Abyss & Chessman [AAA TAG]
Abyss & Chessman came in as champs. Usual hardcore match. Vampiro pinned Chessman to win the title. Abyss was angry about the title loss and beat up Chessman.

4) Texano Jr. b El Elegido and Extreme Tiger and La Parka Jr. and Toscano and Daga and Héctor Garza and Juventud Guerrera and Zorro and El Mesías and Heavy Metal and Psycho Clown [Copa Antonio Pena]
Battle royal and maybe royal rumble rules. Elimination order went Toscano, Extreme Tiger, Ultimo Gladiador (unknown who he was replaced), Psycho Clown, Juvi and then we lost mention of it. Heavy Metal did participate. Final four were Parka, Garza, Mesias and Texano. Garza and Park went out, and Texano won with a Konnan distraction and a foul. Texano refused to accept the cup – it’s AAA and Pena – and Mesias told him off and promised to send him back to CMLL.

5) Jeff Jarrett, Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Silver Kain b Dr. Wagner Jr., LA Park, Zorro
Zorro replaced Electroshock. Rudos won and destroyed Parka after the match.

6) Halloween L CibernéticoCuervoJack EvansOzzel Hijo del Perro AguayoTeddy HartPsicosis [dome cage, hair]
Bizarros (& Jack) versus Perros. Last man out loses his hair. Order of escape went Cibernetico, Ozz, Psicosis, Perro, Teddy, Jack and finally Cuervo to leave Halloween behind. Both the Perros and Sect got involved when it came down to Cuervo and Halloween, with Fabi and Atomic Boy also helping Cuervo and hurting Halloween.

My preview of the show.

CMLL’s Sunday Arena Coliseo show is streamed live on Terra.com. The link to the show is http://t.co/mAmFkJH2. Last week’s show had a variety of technical difficulties. Minis Mercurio and Fantasy meet one more time before next week’s minis match. CMLL may also be setting up a title match or singles match main event for next week’s show.

CMLL (SUN) 10/07/2012 Arena Coliseo

Notes: Diamante Azul vs Volador Jr. was set up after a heated (sometimes too heated) main event. Ephesto was hurt after a Triton senton con giro gone wrong, and Triton came close to hurting himself earlier in that match. Hooligan missed his match with an injury suffered after his Arena Puebla match on Monday.

Three different promotions have shows tonight. CMLL airs on EstrellasTV with a recent Arena Puebla show, Noches de Coliseo on Multimedios (listed as Paid Programming) may have matches from last Sunday’s Arena Coliseo Monterrey show, and IWRG’s Sunday night show airs live on AYM Sports around 7pm.

Notes: Rayo de Jalisco vs Blue Demon Jr. was hyped on TV as the main event of tonight’s ACM, but Rayo de Jalisco Jr. took his money and didn’t show. Blue Demon explained the situation and the fans handled it okay.

The chat room is closed. Thanks for coming.

Heroes Inmortales preview

site note: chat and live results will start at 5PM with coverage of CMLL on Terra show, and go thru whenever Heroes Inmortales ends (or whenever AAA’s cell battery runs out)

There’s not a lot to talk about this show because they’ve built it so quick. I thought last week’s TV was really good in establishing the key matches. They didn’t make me need to see any of the matches, but at least I should know the top three ones.

Domo Centro de Espectaculos in San Luis Potosi is a 11,000 seat venue. Tickets are cheap for a show of this magnitude. It’s AAA first taping in the area since last May. AAA usually runs the smaller Auditorio Miguel Barragan, so there’s some confidence they’ll have a big number. I really should be out of the attendance guessing game after the Anniversary, but I would guess AA gets a 9,000-10,000 turn out and is happy with it.

1) Dinastía, Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito vs Mini Histeria, Mini Psicosis, Mini Psycho Clown

Normal minis opener. Every Heroes Inmortales match had a stipulation in previous years, but AAA seems to have dropped the idea this year. It’s for the best, because this one would have probably been weighed down with a glow in the dark or lumberjack stipulation. Instead, they’re just doing about as good a minis trios match as they can put out there (you can quibble with Mini Psycho Clown), a perfectly fine way to open a show. The two minis feuds are Dorada vs Mini Charly Manson and Octagoncito vs Mini Psicosis. No Manson, so Octagoncito pinning Psicosis it is.

2) Atomic Boy & Fabi Apache vs Fenix & Lolita and Gran Apache & Mari Apache and Jennifer Blake & Último Gladiador [AAA MIXED TAG]

If Sexi Star is still supposed to be the referee for this match, it has not been mentioned on TV as yet. (Which could mean anything.) Gran Apache & Mari Apache are the best team, if they’re interested in making these belts mean something, but all the teams set up good possiblities. Halloween should factor into this somehow, and I’ll guess this time it’s costing his new love the match, giving Atomic Boy and Fabi Apache the win.

3) Abyss & Chessman vs Joe Lider & Vampiro [AAA TAG]

No one knows why this is happening, this match is sure to be awful, and someone might get hurt. Get excited! Joe Lider is not feuding with any of these people, he’s feuding with Psicosis (still!), so Psicosis will probably turn up and cost Lider the match. Jarrett’s coming back again, so Abyss is probably coming back in December and they can wait to lose to a ‘real’ team then (though they already should be getting one ready.)

4) El Elegido vs Extreme Tiger, La Parka, Toscano, Daga, Héctor Garza, Juventud Guerrera, Zorro, El Mesías, Heavy Metal, Psycho Clown, Texano Jr. [Copa Antonio Pena]

No idea if Hector Garza is still on this show. He would otherwise make sense as a winner, as would Texano, Mesias, and even Parka. Texano seems like a sure bet to beat Mesias, just not totally sure if they won’t decided that’s enough and hand the win to someone else. They’re running a series of skits with Parka and Octagon leading up to this show, which could lead to Octagon making a tecnico return here, getting some revenge on Consejo. I kind of like that idea, so I’ll pick Parka.

5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, LA Park vs Jeff Jarrett, Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Silver Kain

Just killing some time. Jarrett should win if they’re really ending this in December, with whatever they want to be the big kickout spot next time. (Clean, cheating, it doesn’t actually matter.) This probably will be way too long and not something I like.

6) Cibernético, Cuervo, Jack Evans, Ozz, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween, Teddy Hart, Psicosis [dome cage, hair]

TV pushed this as Perro vs Cibernetico, but neither are losing a match like this. Ozz was totally ignored in a post match beatdown; him or Cuervo would be seen as rip off, and really Psicosis doesn’t work if he’s going to wear his mask. Jack and Teddy seem like they’ve been just thrown in this to make up the numbers, same as Extreme Tiger & Halloween in the match at TripleMania. I am really suspicious of Halloween suddenly turning up with hair extensions and it’s be easy to have Mari cost him the match as revenge for earlier. I could be convinced otherwise, but Halloween’s my pick for right now.
