Fuego and Virus meet tonight for Virus’ CMLL Super Lightweight Championship. This has been a strange set up for a title match

09/10: Virus submits Fuego in a lightning match. No dispute in the finish
09/17: Fuego loses in a trios match when Virus trips him up from outisde
09/24: Fuego submitted Virus

Fuego has won 1 out of the last 3 weeks to get this match. He has as much time to win as ever.

Rob has highlights of 09/11/12 CMLL, 09/18/12 CMLL, rookie Volador Jr. and CMLL stage dives.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 10/07/2012 Arena Coliseo
1) Bengala & Höruz vs Camorra & Herodes Jr.
2) Leono, Metálico, Metatrón vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo
3) Astral, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito vs Mercurio, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
4) Triton vs Ephesto [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Super Porky, Titán vs Black Warrior, Kráneo, Mr. Águila
6) Diamante Azul, Rush, Shocker vs Averno, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr.

This is a bit of randomness. Volador, but no Mascara, so who knows what’s happening there. The Mexican National Trios champs are all in the same building at the same time for one of the few times since they won the titles. Triton is on lightning match duty. Fantasy and Mercurio resume their feud the week before their main event. There’s an especially boring trio of tecnicos in the segunda, except Metalico is almost surely not working that match if he’s as hurt as it seemed on Friday.

CMLL (SUN) 10/07/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Yaki vs Demonio Rojo
2) Halcón de Plata & Sky Kid vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
3) Eros, Esfinge, Exterminador vs Espectrum, In Memoriam, Leo [Relevos Increíbles]
4) Gallo & Smaker vs El Bárbaro & Maléfico
5) Hijo del Fantasma, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Mephisto, Misterioso Jr.

A show! The semimain is pretty much the top pushed local guys squaring off.

09/30 AAA Fusion Results (DF)

AAA FUSION (SUN) 09/30/2012 Sala de Armas Magdalena Mixhuca [AAA (C Fan Deportes)]
1) Jennifer Blake, Sexy Lady, Sexy Star b Cinthia Moreno, Fabi Apache, Lolita
One of the Sexis beat Cinthia with a cavernaria.
2) Dinastía, Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito b Mini Charly Manson, Mini Histeria, Mini Psycho Clown
Dorada and Manson continue to feud.
3) Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker, Uro Rocker b Aerostar, Drago, Fenix, Samurai del Sol
The new fourth Rocker is Uro Rocker, described as two meters tall, strong, and using a top rope splash to win.
4) Cibernético, Cuervo, El Mesías DQ Daga, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween
Tecnicos won via DQ when Texano ran in to attack Mesias.
5) Silver King & Texano Jr. DQ Dr. Wagner Jr. & LA Park
Mesias ran in to attack Texano. Texano wants that title match. Wagner wants Silver in any match he wants.

Air date: a mystery! This taping seems to follow right from the Naucalpan one – Texano’s issues with Mesias started there – so it’s got to be around the same time.

Uro Rocker, a 6.5 foot guy with a top rope splash, sure sounds like CMLL’s Bronco given a new life. Like Semental, this is a swell move – he wasn’t moving up when other guy of his experience were passing him, and he wasn’t improving. It sounds like they had him work as a giant, instead of the slightly taller rudo role that never fit him in CMLL. I am thrilled with this idea, but we really need a picture to be sure and I haven’t seen one yet.

Update: The only picture I’ve seen is this one, and Uro has an odd shaped chest that looks a lot different than Bronco.

As LLL noted in the comments, AAA had all different sponsors for this show and a different stage setup.

No mention of a next taping. There’s a lot more to find out about this show.
