09/30 AAA TVC Deportes lineup (DF)

2) Dinastía, Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito vs Mini Charly Manson, Mini Histeria, Mini Psycho Clown

the fourth rudo is a Rocker TBA
4) Cibernético, Cuervo, El Mesías vs Daga, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. & LA Park vs Silver King & Texano Jr.

Announced by AAA, a show for TVC Deportes. Perros del Mal hasn’t been on in months (last new episode in February) and Todos x el Todos (no show since June and no sign of a new one), so TVC Deportes has some openings for other wrestling programming. AAA having a second TV show has been talked about for a long time; this looks more like a traditional show than they tournaments they did with Fox Sports.

This is a regular Perros del Mal location, which suggests this is meant to replace that show. AAA’s probably more capable of pulling off tapings more regularly; Perros del Mal are just barely running shows with advertising ahead of them. No details on when this will air yet; wild guess 10/04, 10/11 and 10/18 with a next taping somewhere (Arena Aficion?) in that second week of October.

(Puebla is listed on the TVC Deportes schedule after all, so perhaps there’s two version of the show being aired. I don’t know.)

AAA draws very well in Mexico City and around it, but this will be their fifth taping in the metro area in two months (TripleMania, the Expo, Ecatepec and Naucalpan are in the suburbs.) If this was the US, this would be a significant problem, because you’d be drawing from the same lot of people, but I get the sense it’s much more rare to travel around to all these shows.

The matches themselves seem separate from any ongoing storylines, playing off current feuds but with no obvious advancement, like something you’d get at a loaded spot show. Tercera is the standout match; the surprise Rocker could be Heavy Metal and it still would be great.

As far as I can figure, the only other time Wagner & Park have been a 2 man team on TV was a Lucha Libre Azteca show in 2005. That’s a pretty strong hook for a debut show.

Not sure at all what’s going on with various international tours. Aerostar & Daga are obviously not booked for Columbia right now. I just read a Box Y Lucha interview with Dinastia where he talked about going to Japan in September, still not mentioning the promotion, and it seems unlikely if he’s working this TV taping.

  1. Very interesting stuff about TVC. So I clicked the link and it’s not working.

Then I went to the AAA website cartelera section and again found nothing about the TVC taping. So maybe there has been a change since the time Cubs posted the update on his blog? Gonna have to check back later I guess.

  2. So the page is down and it wasn’t my inferior computer skills being unable to find something on the net.

This venue is where Kleinrock and company did their PdM PPV. I’ll bet this is/was going to be a project for the US, maybe using TVC as the camera crew. Or something like that.

  3. This location is used by the Perros all the time. The fact that it was used by Viva la Lucha for their ppv isn’t too significant since it had been previously scheduled in another location. AAA has run spot shows and paid shows here in the past and I think Ultimo Dragon has run quite a few shows here to. I liked the location for Perros’ shows and didn’t catch anything else there. Its smallish, but is easily metro accessible and it can look good for tv if you fill the stands.

  4. “3) Aerostar, Drago, Fenix, Samurai del Sol vs ?, Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker”

    There are no words.

It doesn’t get better than this lineup right here. My fingers & toes are crossed that Colombia tour is a sham and Aero Star/Drago end up working here because this is a dream match for anyone who enjoys Lucha Libre.

  5. @Alan: It’s a terrible venue for television. I can give several reasons why, but no one cares.

You’re right that it’s a well used venue. But the fact that there already appears to be drama surrounding the show sends up a red flag.

And then there’s the issue Cubs mentioned on WON Radio. Sounds like AAA is upset that Cubs published the Heroes lineup and wanted to know who his source was. I don’t think this is a red herring, but if anyone in the company is truly bothered and insecure they’ll use that approach to identify the person who is leaking lineups and other info.

  6. @LLL: This wasn’t a leak. This was up on AAA’s website. It doesn’t get more official than that.

And the Heroes Inmortales lineup was something given to a local promoter (who gave it to the newspaper) – there may have been a misunderstanding about when the lineup as to be publicized, but AAA could’ve kept the exactly lineup to themselves and just advertised the top names if they wanted.

It’s simply disorganization, the left hand not knowing what the right hand doing. That lineup got pulled because someone thought they were supposed to post it, and later being told no.

  7. The TVCDeportes story was posted in one of AAA’s other facebook groups. The Noti Triple A group on facebook. This sort of thing will happen all the time with lucha since its a business that’s always been filled with disorganization.

AAA has a lot of talkative people in their promotion. It would be damn near impossible to keep any story from being leaked.
