recap

taped 2012-08-17 @ Arena Mexico

devastating eye poke!

Fuego, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. vs Namajague, Puma King, Shigeo Okumura: actually, not the best match for Puma and Cometa. They seemed a sloppier than usual; not so much that anyone watching this feud on television would’ve been turned off, but enough to know they can do better. The other four were really good and I’m hyped for the Arena Coliseo Tag Team Title match. Amusing how they used Monito here to give this an important match feel!

The Universal Championship Block A got very clipped up to fit the trios match (which wasn’t that long either!) and probably wasn’t that great too begin with. The only one of the really short matches I liked was Rush vs Rey Bucanero, because that was simply Bucanero playing tackling dummy for a while. Neither of Terrible’s first two matches went well (maybe not his fault) and the Rush/Terrible final only really had a good finish. There seems to be a logic problem in having Rush vs Terrible go under five minutes on TV right before you’re trying to sell the hair match, but the fans are apparently not supposed to treat these as ‘real’ matches. Ever so weird.

  1. Is the Arean Coliseo Title Match going to end up online or was live the only time it was available?
