around and around

Molotov vs Hijo del Signo in a lightning match: an competent match that’s completely unmemorable; if anything, I’d remember how weird it seemed that Molotov carried so much of the action. Exactly what you’d expect from these two guys, who have some skills but aren’t great enough at anything to stick out and don’t show any particular personality. Both Signo & Molotov are the sort of guys who could only be generic members of the roster in CMLL; they’d either stick out as exceptions in any other full time promotion (and maybe be more over for it), or they would be passed over for more interesting people. It’s probably too late for Molotov, but Signo really hasn’t improved that much since the day he showed up (and isn’t that much better than he was in IWRG.) I’d still say Signo is better than a Hombre Bala Jr., but Hombre Bala is getting better and Signo is not getting anywhere.

Puma finds a use for the barrier

taped 2012-08-10 @ Arena Mexico
Fuego, Rey Cometa, Triton vs Puma King, Raziel, Sangre Azteca: Another really good match between Puma, Cometa and friends. Cometa & King are working well against each other, and the disqualification spot worked a lot better here than in other recent matches. The rest of the guys played their roles well too.

FIGHT

Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr. : Not a long match, but it was entertaining for how it lasted. It could’ve been better if Volador wasn’t hurt in the second fall, but it probably didn’t change things too much since he was back in action by the third fall.
