Mistico in SLP, Bucanero/Rush, Rayo Tapatios, Tuesday preview

CMLL CURRO (SUN) 09/02/2012 Arena Coliseo San Luis Potosi [El Teatro de Memo]
***56th Arena Coliseo San Luis Potosi Anniversary***
1) Magico & Simón Blanco b Bogar Jr. & Dragon Fury
2) Gemelo Del Averno I & Gemelo Del Averno II b Astral & Shockercito
Rudos cheated to beat Shockercito for the win.
3) Amapola & Princesa Blanca b Dalis la Caribeña & Marcela
Princesa Blanca returning to the arena she started in (and so the rudas were cheered.)
4) Black Extreme & Hijo del Signo b Oro Azul & Sagrado
Mexico guys mostly worked with the SLP guys instead of each other.
5) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente b Dragón Rojo Jr., Misterioso Jr., Rey Escorpión
They shot off fireworks for Mistico. Mistico submitted Rey Escorpion for the win.

CMLL (SUN) 09/02/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [cancha.com]
1) Azteca de Oro & Indigo b Demonio Rojo & Relampago Azul
2) Black Metal & Halcon de Plata b Acertijo & Infierno
3) Esfinge & Metatrón b In Memoriam & Mr. Trueno
4) Gallo & Smaker b Artillero & Súper Comando
5) Mephisto & Rey Bucanero b Hijo del Fantasma & Rush
Bucanero beat Rush to set up a title match next week.

(This is really via Dr. Lucha, who figured out a way to get around their paywall.)

ColiseoMania I filled 80% of Arena Coliseo Monterrey. Reuslts in that post aren’t clear, but may be a true reflection of the show.

Los Rayo Tapatios appeared in Arena Lopez Mateos, teaming with Ramstein and ostentatiously representing CMLL. They outsmarted local tag team champs Iron Love and  Chucho el Roto, teaming with Yakuza, in the main event trios match. There’s a rematch next Sunday, and probably a tag team title match down the line.

Tonight is the Titan vs Polvora for the Mexican Welterweight Championship. Polvora really should’ve had to vacate his championship the third or fourth time judge Tirantes eviscerated him during En Busca de un Idolo. It’s just a very happy coincidence that the winner  of that same tournament looks in line to win. CMLL has been doing sensible things of late, and Titan beating Polvora  is the only sensible outcome of the match.

Bizarrely, that preview refers to Polvora as “ex Cancerbero del Infierno”. Did I miss a Cancerbero break up angle? Would that explain Euforia too? So confused.

The semimain, but the match CMLL actually is hyping as the main event, is Mistico’s first match in Arena Mexico in 17 days. It’s the same basic match they’ve been doing since his debut, teaming with two lesser tecnicos (Diamante Azul & Angel de Oro) versus three rudos who can make him look good (Misterioso, Mephesto, Ephesto). It’s probably his only appearance in Arena Mexico until the Anniversary show.

Rey Cometa appears on the show, but does not face Puma for the first time since July. There’s always the chance Puma could show up, good tickets are available.

Video from Tercera Caida of Hijo del Espanto demanding CMLL’s Espanto Jr. change his name. There’s a recorded 0.0% success rate in demanding CMLL do things, but maybe it’ll be different for him. Espanto II did win the Juniors Cruiserweight title from Hijo del Climax this past saturday.

AAA posted part on of their Twitter chat with Sexi Star. They’re pushing a feud with Lolita.

LuchaWorld has a recap of the CMLL on Terra show.

Rush says main eventing the Anniversary show is a dream come true. He respects Terrible’s toughness, but Rush will annihilate him and mop the mat with Terrible’s cockroach infested hair.

Ciclope will accept Drastick Boy and Aero Boy’s hair match only if it’s a barbed wire match with light tubes. It’s DTU, those aren’t really strong demands.

Juvi singing.

Villano III ran the Mexico City marathon.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 09/09/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Leono & Sensei vs Apocalipsis & Cholo
2) Estrellita, Goya Kong, Luna Mágica vs La Seductora, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit
3) Aereo, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico
4) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Super Porky vs Niebla Roja, Taichi, Vangelis
5) Fuego & Stuka Jr. vs Namajague & Shigeo Okumura [Arena Coliseo TAG]
Fuego & Stuka are champs
6) Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Shocker vs Felino, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla

I guess we know when Mr. Niebla’s suspension ends. That’s two weeks straight up.

I like Fuego and Stuka as eternal champions, but if Namajague wins, he can’t leave. Win either way.

They’re apparently not concerned about running too much in Arena Mexico before the Anniversary show.

CMLL (SUN) 09/09/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Tapatío vs Demonio Rojo
2) Brillante & Meteoro vs Relampago Azul & Spark
3) Sky Kid & Smaker vs Barbaro Cavernario & Magnum
4) Rush vs Rey Bucanero [CMLL LH]
Rush’s title is on the line.
5) Metatrón vs Infierno, Esfinge, Acertijo, Black Metal, In Memoriam, Halcon de Plata, Mr. Trueno [cage, mask]

The GDL guys have been running in on each others matches, so this will settle it for now.

Rey Bucanero has the NWA LH title, but it’s not on the line.

CMLL (MON) 09/10/2012 Arena Puebla
1) Fuerza Chicana, Policeman, Siki Ozama Jr. vs Ares, Centauro de Fuego, Saurón
2) Leono, Metálico, Soberano Jr. vs Apocalipsis, Cholo, Nosferatu
3) Lady Afrodita, Luna Mágica, Marcela vs Amapola, La Seductora, Princesa Sugheit
4) Fuego vs Virus [lightning]
5) Mistico, Titán, Valiente vs Ephesto, Euforia, Mephisto
6) Terrible vs Diamante Azul [CMLL HEAVY]
Terrible is champion

Terrible has a busy week too. I’m not sure I’d be having the guys main eventing the biggest match of the year in singles matches in the days before that singles match. I guess they can get hurt in any match.

Mistico tries to master the Puebla ropes again.

Metalico returns from his leg injury in the second match, probably wishes he didn’t with that crew of rudos.
