Fabi Apache & Lolita vs Sexy Lady & Sexy Star : a perfectly fine luchadora pairs match. Lolita didn’t do as much as maybe she did in other matches, but what she did was good and the same goes for Sexy Lady. I could not believe Sexy Star did at tope con giro thru the ropes, that is so unlike her. Just full of surprises this year. Tirantes was less Tirantes than usual and the finish was weird (here’s a ref bump that won’t mean anything!) that either something went wrong or they’re just addicted to ref bumps now.
Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Texano, Toscano : Another good match between the two teams, though it kind of dragged near the end. This was a difficult match to have a finish, since the most important thing is Mascara being built up for the mask match, but they’re clearly going back to this feud as soon as that is over, and so Mascara had to get the win but they wanted to make it not clean but it kind needed to be to build him up and maybe they should’ve just not booked this match at this time? Toscano and Texano remain entertaining, though it’s now more comedy.
Cibernético & Jack Evans vs Héctor Garza & Teddy Hart : Shorter and actually not as good as I would’ve expected. Something must’ve got clipped at the end of this, because the finish sequence – Jack does top rope move, Garza pulls him off, Jack just does another top rope move, win – doesn’t make any sense. Cibernético was barely in the match. Teddy screwed up the first big spot he had with Jack and did not look on form the rest. This seems like a no-show punishment loss.
