Dragon Lee vs Euforia: Fray Tormenta is an old man, maybe his eyesight is failing him a little bit, because I don’t know what he saw here. Euforia dominated most of the match, then Dragon Lee near broke himself on a bad shooting star press to the floor. It did get better from there, but this was not a match that said anything good about Dragon Lee. Last week’s match was easily better. Finish makes no sense out of context, and if they did want him to get a virtual win without risking him in the final versus Titan, then they probably needed something that didn’t also make him look dumb.
Diamante vs Titan: match peaked in the mat wrestling portion, a bad sign when it involves these two. They did not gel nearly as well as Titan and Dragon Lee last week, or even as much as Diamante and Dragon Lee the week before. They tried for some complicated stuff but didn’t get enough of it clean to be impressive, and the finish was out of left field. Cold match.
