Javier Cruz Jr. loses his hair, Marcela keeps her title, Black Warrior/Atlantis

CMLL (SUN) 06/24/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring, Fuego en el Ring]
1) Brillante b Acertijo

3) Mr. Trueno, Rey Trueno, Taurus b Esfinge, Javier Cruz Sr., Smaker
Taurus snuck in a foul on Cruz for the win.
4) Javier Cruz Jr. L Leo, Barbaro Cavernario [hair]
Leo pinned Barbaro to escape. First referee (Mimoso, seems to be new) was knocked down, missing Javier Cruz Jr. submit Barbaro. Taurus ran in and hit Cruz Jr. with a tube and Barbaro fouled Cruz Jr. Cruz Sr. ran out to help his son, but too late as Barbaro won him for the win. Cruz Sr. got his hair cut but not shaved in front of the crowd.
5) Rey Escorpion & Último Guerrero b Diamante Azul & Valiente
UG pinned Valiente with his feet on the ropes. Valiente challenged him to a singles match for next week.

Adorabe Rubi was honored during the show. Fuego en el Ring seems 100% sure Taurus is Ultimo Guerrero Jr.

Rudos took 2/3.

Rudos took 1/3, Demus and Pierrothito beating Electrico and Dragoncito.
3) Diamante, Sagrado, Stuka Jr. b Euforia, Sangre Azteca, Vangelis
Euforia replaced Misterioso, so no Misterioso/Sangre issue here. Tecnico took 1/3, Sangre and Sagrado traded all the falls.

Marcela won falls 2/3 to keep the title, despite Tirantes helping Seductora.

Tecnicos took 2/3.
6) Black Warrior, Mr. Niebla, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, Diamante Azul, La Sombra
Rudos took 1/3, Warrior using a ref bump to pull Atlantis’ mask for the win.

Adorable Rubi was honored before the semimain match. Fuego en el Ring and DJ Spectro have obits for Adorable Rubi.

That’s two straight Atlantis/Warrior finishes, so probably a singles match this week or next.

Goya Kong explains she’s gone to playgrounds and practiced climbing on the rides there to prepare for the cage match this Friday. Why isn’t that airing on TV? (Why isn’t that airing on some Goya Kong YouTube channel?) Goya wouldn’t mind winning Blanca or Tiffany’s hair, but her target is Seductora; there’s not many masked women in CMLL and Goya wants hers. If Seductora is climbing out, Goya is climbing out after her, if Seductora is staying, she’s staying too. Goya thinks being one of only two masked women in this match works against her, because any of the women could turn on her to try and win the prize.

Rocky Santana turned rudo on Sunday’s AULL show.

LuchaWorld has a recap of June 16, 2012 CMLL on Galavision and KrisZ’s news update.

Luchas 2000 #626 gives more cover space to Cibernetico vs Perro than New Mistico.

  1. Goya Kong’s dad Super Porky aslo used the playground to practice climbing the dome cage in AAA. AAA actually aired that back in 2008.

  2. If you don’t mind me asking, do you have any predictions for who might lose the cage match?

  3. I would let Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Marcela, Princesa Blanca & Amapola escape. Then somehow we lower a roof onto the cage and never let any of the other five ladies escape. I suggest the canvas opens up into a trap door making them all disappear or we just feed them and give them water 3 times a day while CMLL runs shows elsewhere. Bonus if we can somehow toss every single other female on the CMLL roster besides Zeuxis inside before the roof comes down.

Seriously, how awful are the CMLL women? Such offensive matches lately.

  4. Serious prediction: Estrellita either wins or loses in the cage Friday. Reason: the exposure from El Luchador. If she is being heavily featured in S2, I can see CMLL getting behind her to give her a big win here. On the other hand, the price of the exposure from that show may be her hair and a nice payday.

  5. I promise to write too much about the cage match later this week (Friday?), but I’m kinda thinking the same as Nikita.

  6. I could see them doing a “how will the pretty girl be able to continue her career after losing her hair?” storyline on El Luchador.

I guess it’d be too much to ask for them to follow Zacarias around as he stalks the edecanes as a b-storyline.

  7. I dunno, I like to live in a world where Zacarias is a shoot.:p He was so great on C3 this weekend creepily following the edecanes and demanding they stop stealing attention from him!
