Puma King unmasked Arissma, Evola/Javier Cruz

CMLL (MON) 05/28/2012 Arena Puebla [el Arte de la Lucha Libre]
1) Fuerza Chicana & Policeman b Black Tiger & Blue Center
Rudos took 2/3.
2) Fantasy & Pequeño Halcón b Mercurio & Pequeño Warrior
Tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Diamante Azul, La Sombra, Rush DQ Mr. Niebla, Terrible, Yujiro
Tecnicos took 2/3. Yujiro fouled Rush.
4) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. b Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr. [MEX TRIOS]
Volador replaced Olimpico. Mije was with the rudos. Rudos took the first, then Volador threw Mije off the top rope and Mije had to be strechered out. Tecnicos rallied to win the second. Atlantis won the third himself, pinning Aguila with a ‘rana and again submitted Volador with an Atlantida. Fifth (known) defense.
5) Arissma L Dragon Lee, Espiritu Maligno, Pegasso, Stigma, Puma King, Hombre Bala Jr., Skándalo, Asturiano, Súper Comando, Lestat, Milenium [cage, mask]
Order of escape was Millenium, Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso, Espiritu Maligno, Skandalo, Lestat, Dragon Lee, Asturiano, Super Comando and Stigma, leaving Puma and Arissma in a one fall finish. Both looked tired. Arissma applied a caballo, but Tirantes was distracted. Arissma got up to argue with him, and Puma locked him in a casita for the three count. Arissma revealed himself as José Luis Guevara Carrera, 42. First apuesta win for Puma King.

The link has the unmasked photo. Arissma is better known with the “Karissma” spelling, but explained a couple years ago on TV that a trademark issue had forced the change. It does not appear he’s retiring (at 42, he’s got many more years of Arena Puebla left in him.)

Puma King’s had quite the up and down month; almost losing every single match in another late Spring tournament before finally getting a win, then getting the big win here.

In the setup to this Sunday’s hair vs hair match, Evola’s trio defeated Javier Cruz Sr.’s trio this past Sunday. The rudos took fall 1, Evola fouled Cruz in the second, and Evola powerbombed Cruz in the third. The rudos have been very strong in this feud.

The Yujiro/Rush feud continues in Arena Mexico tonight. Guadalajara is headlined by Volador and Mascara facing off for a title again, this time Mascara’s national light heavyweight championship, and also has a undercard cibernetico.

LuchaWorld has Pimpinela Escarlata, Pantera, Hijo de Fantasma and Hijo del Perro Aguayo on top 100.

Rob has highlights of 05/15/12 CMLL.
