Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., Triton vs Ephesto, Euforia, Pólvora: Two straight foul finishes and a less than interested crew makes for a disappointing match. These guys have much better matches in them, it just wasn’t happening on this night. I don’t know what the end of the second fall was supposed to be, but I’m not quite sure there was a specific thing it was supposed to be.
Atlantis, Máscara Dorada, Prince Devitt vs Felino, Negro Casas, Volador Jr.: There was a good deal of Volador vs Devitt in parts, but this was much more Devitt as regular CMLL-ish técnico than the other trios he’s been in (that I’ve seen so far!) He got to work with the entire técnico team, got stunk up by Felino, got to kick Zacarias, all a lot of fun. The Volador/Devitt stuff still came off well, and everyone else felt secondary.
Shocker vs Último Guerrero: This was kind of better than the usual Ultimo Guerrero singles match. Not because of Guerrero, but Shocker stepping up to the moment and trying to bits to make it feel like more than the same stuff we see in every trios match with him. Shocker’s personality comes thru stronger in singles and it made the difference here. He’s not going to be what he was, but the match did a good job of magnifying his good points.
