everyone lived

The cage match: It’s a cage match, barely lasting longer than the entrances. It was a noticeably edited one, and hard to follow with that many people all doing spots at the same time. The eliminations were all rapid fire and it was more chaotic than interesting. They did all the spots they do in these, and tacked on false finishes which made no real sense – both Pimpi and Sexi have chances to leave and do not only because the spots they want to do required them keep on going. Doing the interference bit made no sense if that wasn’t going to be the finish. Sexi got to completely win her feud with Pimpinela, which I guess was the important thing.

Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, Heavy Metal vs Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Texano, Toscano: This felt like a slightly bigger than usual TV match. There weren’t really only maybe three near falls of consequences before the finish, and it was the usual formula of the secondary guys taking each other out to leave the main people to finish it, nothing that really felt like it had the high stakes they were trying to get it here. Mascara Año 2000 Jr. was competent as the third man in the trio, but wasn’t as interesting as his partners and comes off as an odd choice to go against Wagner. Argos as outside irritant is the best use of Argos. He didn’t have any fancy move to mess up, so he did fine.

LA Park is the best

El Mesías vs Jeff Jarrett for the AAA World Heavyweight Championship: This was the best match Jarrett’s had, though that’s not really saying much. It’s totally just Jeff doing his formula match, but that’s why you have him. Mesías did not have the greatest or most interesting night, but he got to be champion at the end so he’s fine. It did come off more as LA Park just hate Jarrett and not a straight técnicos turn, but it’s unclear why he’s still a rudo at this point.
