1) Dragón Celestial & Poison b Sky Ángel & Templario
Templario looked good in the loss.
2) Comando Negro & Pacto Negro b Crosby & Pequeño Ángel
3) Alemán, The Mummy, Tóxico b Charly Madrid, Chicano, Freelance
Rudos took 2/3. First match for Freelance here in nearly a year.
4) Súper Nova, Violencia Jr., Zumbido b Dinamic Black, Trauma II, Veneno
Tecnico took 2/3. Super Nova beat Dinamic Black with a Canadian Destroyer.
5) Hijo de LA Park, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Trauma I, Ultramán Jr. b Bestia 666, Damián 666, X-Fly, Zumbi
Juniors vs FdT. Juniors took the first, FdT took the second. Familia 666 dropped Trauma I with a double valagueza, but the refs were too buys to count. Trauma II ran in, fouled Damian, and put Trauma I on top of the pin.

It is a bit weird that IWRG of late centers around the former members of Perros del Mal versus the new members of Perros del Mal with everyone making sure not to mention the Perros del Mal.

CMLL put up the first round of En Busca de Un Idolo matches on it’s VideosOficialsCMLL channel (not to be confused with the other channel that had the Yujiro promo up yesterday.) They also have the poll up on, which will also count for points. I don’t know if that will mean we might not actually know the semifinalists until only after the last matches are uploaded, since the voting for that period shouldn’t start then, or if the way they’re doing the polls has changed. It’s pretty easy to stuff the poll for whoever you’d like; you can vote for the same person as many times as you have patience for.

CMLL’s hype for tonight’s show pushes the Escorpion/Black Warrior feud and Niebla/Atlantis. The latter is a change; they were definitely heading in a Negro Casas/Atlantis direction on the most recent TV, but did the finish with Niebla instead.

Mr. Niebla no-showed his match in Guatemala this weekend; it must’ve been late notice, because they grabbed a local instead of CMLL sending someone else to team with Felino. Niebla’s been increasingly erratic the last month or so.

LuchaWorld looks at the Ninja Turtles, and I think I missed Alfredo’s recap of Sin Cara on Tercera Caida yesterday.

  • Juvi says he and Lider are ready to win the tag titles in Merida.

IWRG (SUN) 05/06/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) Saruman & Star Boy Jr. vs Comando Negro & Polifacético
2) Carta Brava Jr. vs Chicano [IWRG IC Light]
Carta Brava is champion
3) Eterno vs Trauma II [WWS WELTER]
Eterno is the champion. Poster lists this as the SWS title, but it was WWS last time it was defended here.
4) Súper Nova vs El Hijo del Diablo, Veneno, Oficial AK47, The Mummy, Dr. Cerebro, Oficial Spartan, Tony Rivera [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
listed as “eliminatoria”, winner may just be moving on to the title match at a future date. Negro Casas was former champion, last defenidng in 2008, and the belt had been in limbo for many years due to the CMLL/IWRG break up.
5) Negro Navarro & Trauma I vs Bestia 666 & Damián 666 [IWRG IC TAG]
Navarros are tag champs

IWRG announced Shadow Phoenix would debut on 05/13. BT Jr. has photos of him and his swrod. Should I know who that is?

05/05-06 lucha times

=== CMLL ===

52MX: Definitely Angel de Oro vs Negro Casas. Hoping they air the minis Cibernetico instead of one (or both) the midcard trios matches, but no guarantee.

LATV: they should be on the 04/17 taping but who knows.

Televisa/Galavision: Trios title match + Warrior/Escorpoin. No lightning match until the tournament is over, not sure what they’ll do with the extra time.

FOX: Tuareg vs Pegasso/Cometa/Sangre + Peste Negra vs Atlantis/Azul/Shocker. This appears to be the 300th episode of the show, though I may be off a couple either way.

C3: Rojo/UG vs Panther/Azul for the tag titles, and the mini Reyes del Aire. Perhaps coverage of this tournament.

GDL: Is Okumura or Valiente the champion? Find out – maybe?

Puebla: Dragon Rojo vs Sombra. Maximo/Porky comedy match was said to be very good.

=== Other ===

AAA: this one’s confusing. Neza didn’t make sense as a double taping, but they skipped the main event. Presumably that means the main event will air on both shows. The Televisa show has a few matches to choose from that aren’t aired, but all the regional show has left is the dark match. (It just now occurs to me that Comando Negro – training with Arkangel last we heard – might turn up on AAA TV this week. He must’ve found a new trainer!)

ACM: Konnan Big vs Simbolo.

IWRG: More FdT action and rookies.

No TxT. My TiVo says AYM has the usual Saturday morning programming, but online listings say they are pre-empted for 8 hours of college baseball. Probably not getting new lucha either way.
