Prior to the triangle mask match, TxT is listings shows for Aguascalientes on 03/23 and Lagos de Moreno on 03/25.

Last night in Puebla, Virus took Loco Max’s hair. Terrible won the Dos Leyendas cibernetico.

Kaiser Sport talked to Dragon Lee about making it to the finals of Sangre Nueva. Injuries took him out of Forjando un Idolo and Guerra Continua, but he’s claimed to have “surpassed the threshold of pain” so no injury can stop him. That’s a nice way of making his next injury more hilarious. Dragon Lee’s long term goal remains teaming with his brother in a main event; he better win and move up soon, or it’ll have to be an incredible partners situation.

Tonight’s Sangre Nueva block includes Triton, Disturbio, Robin, Bronco, Hombre Bala Jr., and Super Halcon Jr., but Hijo del Signo & Raziel are the only two who could possibly reign in Dragon Lee (if such a thing is possible.) Signo is good and I like him as the third man in a Namajague/Okumura trio (he’s even got a yellow outfit) but Raziel is great and should get the win.

After complaints about the latest show (again) lasting past until midnight, IWL says their next show will only have six matches, and will only allow two ringside photographers as to not block front fans. They also have revealed that “ATM” is named after the people who fund the promotion, which is no big surprise considering how they’ve treated it like a big deal.

There are similar complaints about Tijuana shows going long.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Astro Rey talks about his new title.

Magnus & Rey Bucanero are headed to Mexicali

AAA points out the only real a false Chessman facebook account. Amusing list of favorite TV show there.

10 thoughts to “Rooster unmasks Barbarian, Clowns defeat Villanos, exoticos, Ultimo Dragon”

  1. I can only dream how surreal a Triton vs Dragon Lee match would be. Wouldn’t count Disturbio out as an underdog here. I mean if we’re inventing new tournaments just so the bookers can bring in family members to participate (Stigma) and pick family members to win (Dragon Lee) you might as well go all out and have Disturbio advance. You can even have Norieuga be the ref for the finals!

  2. The article actually teases Super Halcon or Hombre Bala as the winner. Super Halcon would make Dragon Lee look steady.

  3. I’m not as down on Halcon as you are. But then again you watched the entire Rayos Tapatios feud and I haven’t. I do have all the DVD’s now so I may actually get to it in August or so.

  4. So I guess the rule that CMLL talent can’t work with talent from Santo’s group is over? Also interesting that Durango Kid is on that card too.

So the Luchapop team has two women? You would think the LYC group would have two women too?

  5. That is far from an “ordinary” GDL card going up against RdR – it is all locals save the main event. They are obviously expecting a poor turnout.

  6. Been like that for a while now. They never send any more than 8 CMLL wrestlers to GDL on Sunday. Sometimes as little as 4 (like this show). For whatever reason the Tuesday shows seem to be more important these days averaging between 10 – 14 CMLL wrestlers per show. Used to be the opposite under the old regime.

Maybe CMLL thinks their Friday GDL show will do enough damage to the AAA show (ha!).

  7. @Tim: The veto’s never been that way. Its CMLL guys can’t work shows were El Hijo del Santo is either the promoter or wrestler on that show. It didn’t extend to the rest of the guys. It could change if Santo decides to promote more regularly, but I doubt that’s gonna happen.

  8. In case anyone missed it, Dorian tweeted that AAA will have a 90 minute show beginning on 3/25.
