Torreon based exotico Sexy Libra passed away on Wednesday. He was 37, actively wrestling around the Laguna region, scheduled to work this weekend. Libra appeared on AAA TV once, when AAA was doing an all exoticos cage match. Cause of death is not listed.

Today’s Arena Mexico show is main evented by another Pesta Negra vs Blue Panther trios, with Dorada & Sombra on the tecnico. The Amapola/Estrellita feud gets the women’s trios all the way up to the fourth match. CMLL is building that match as if it will be a hair match at Dos Leyendas, but there’s no telling with them of late.

AAA tapes tonight in Zumpango, with Mesias/Wagner vs Halloween/Garza on top. Garza has worked as Mesias’ rival with Jarrett not around, so that’ll be the focus of the main event. The focus of the show should be putting things in place for Rey de Reyes, which they’ve only hinted at so far. Arturo Cruz says Dianstia is the surprise tecnico mini on today’s AAA taping. This makes sense; he’s the winner of the Quien Por Pinta La Corona minis division and has a tecnico style.

Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors has a show in San Jose on March 30th. This is not a system hiccup, they had a press conference yesterday and everything. This promotion has been left to for dead twice and keeps coming back. Tickets will be between $40 and $87 (with Ticketmaster fees.) I have a hard time believing they’ll sell at that price, but this group does the unbelievable from time to time.

El Hijo del Santo’s Record column spend many words explaining how much better lucha libre was when the luchadors all handled the rights to their characters themselves and the promoters apparently did not exist. This is a long way of explaining name changes for the minis on the Todo x el Todo shows; no one’s going to use a name CMLL or AAA can claim to own, so no promotion can try a lawsuit. Besides Mascarita Dorada as Mascarita Platedita, the original Mascarita Sagrada will be going as Pequeno Lucky (similar to a name he used in WWE) and Mini Cibernetico will now be Escorpion King. Santo has said he pays no attention to CMLL previously, and he means it he thinks Escorpion King is a name without issues.
