AULL (SAT) 01/14/2012 Arena Lopez Mateos [Black Terry Jr. (flickr)Estrellas del Ring]
1) Karma & Spider Boy b Lince X & Sol de Oriente
2) Epitafio, Leviathan, Samael b Rey Kristal, Super Panda, Tortuguillo Ninja
Originally a minis match with the Perros mini and Pequeno Demonio, but everyone but Rey Cristal was replaced. Los Bastrados get another win.
3) Chik Tormenta, Keira, Vanely b Felina Metalica, La Vaquerita, Yuki Star
4) Sádico, Trauma I, Trauma II b Daga, Eterno, Flamita Fall 1 (part 1) Fall 1 (part 2) Fall 2 Fall 3
Said to be a superb match. Flamita cradled Sadico & Trauma submitted the others in the first. Sadico wheelbarrow suplexed Flamita, Eterno submitted Trauma I, Daga brainbustered Trauma II in the second. After Daga & Flamita dives, Trauma II beat Eterno for the win.
5) Atlantis, Blue Panther, Solar I DRAW Felino, Negro Navarro, Último Guerrero Full
Announced before the match as one fall, which annoyed the crowd. Luchadors got them back and the match turned out great. Everyone matched up with their rival. Navarro & Panther were eliminated, and UG pinned Solar just as Atlantis pinned Felino for the draw. Fans not thrilled with that finish.

Estrellas del Ring also has an interview with Los Bastardos and video of the moment of applause for MS1.

CMLL (SUN) 01/15/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, La Catedral]
1) Bobby Zavala & Bronco b Höruz & Leono
Rudos took 1/3.
2) Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pierrothito b Bam Bam, Eléctrico, Último Dragoncito
Rudos took 1/3. Ultimo Dragoncito left on a stretchered after taking a Black Hammer from Demus.
3) Diamante, Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado b Skándalo, Vangelis, Virus
Tecnicos took 1/3, Diamante on Vangelis for the win.
4) Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero, Rey Escorpion DQ Blue Panther, Fuego, Valiente
Dragon Rojo was unable to wrestle due to injury, but did appear with his replacement, Rey Escorpion. Fuego replaced Super Porky with no explanation (he was double booked in El Paso.) Heavy focus on Panther/negro. Rudos took 1/3, Panther fouled Negro in the third. Negro taunted Panther and partied after the win.
5) La Sombra DQ Mephisto
Mephisto jumped Sombra and took the first, Sombra took the second, Mephisto pulled Sombra’s mask to prevent the pinfall loss in the third.
6) Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Rush b Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr.
Tecnicos took 1/3, UG losing to the Air Italia in the third.

CMLL is scheduled back at Arena Coliseo next Sunday.

CMLL is running low on Dragons at the moment. Besides Ultimo and Rojo, Dragon Lee is out of action after  surgery on his right knee. The injury is said to have taken place at Arena Mexico, which would mean Tuesday’s match. Enrique Yniesta said he’ll be out at least one month (so not in Puebla on Monday – no sub has been announced.)

A lucha libre expo took place at Delegacion Benito Juarez on Saturday. DJ Spectro and Estrellas del Ring have photos and notes. Looks busy, though Spectro says it was quite at the noon start. Estrellas also interviews Dark Kitty from the event. There was a moment of applause for MS1 here too.

Porra Fresa notes the appearance count of the local Puebla wrestlers, and bemoans how the few Puebla local related feuds were totally ignored this year.

SuperLuchas #445 has the first part of an interview with Villano III talking about his career, leading up to his anniversary show next month.

The Sobre el Ring interview about X-Project never aired. When the show did air (not when promised), it was just the same rerun they’ve shown a hundred times. A SuperLuchas interview seemed to hint at something between them and Lucha POP (or, more specifically, Sexi Star having no idea who Valerie Richter is.)

Rob has highlights of 01/31/11 Puebla and 05/3/11 Arena Mexico.

Lucha Libre in Japan:

REINA 01/25: first defenses for both..
3) Silueta b Saya [REINA IJ] – 11:24 via moonsault
5) Ayumi b Hailey Hatred [CMLL WOMEN] – Ayumi took falls 2/3

If I understand the results right, Mima (4) and Lady Afrodita (2) took the direct losses in their matches. Next show is 01/29 with Lluvia and Luna Magica.

Lineups

4) El Dorado, Magnus, Shocker vs Hijo del Misterioso, Psycho, V-57

Card is really of no significance, but just noting the two CMLL exiles. Shocker’s been turning up on small card away from DF with CMLL guys, Magnus has been mostly on the Toryumon shows. Both show be back at any point.

IWRG (THU) 01/19/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) Astro de Plata & Eragón vs Pacto Negro & Súper Black
2) Golden Magic, Oficial Rayan, Oficial Spartan vs Gemelo Fantastico I, Gemelo Fantastico II, Kortiz

5) Centvrión, Negro Navarro, Ultramán Jr. vs Eterno, Imposible, X-Fly

Main event is a follow up on the Protector tournament final.

That’s Bombero’s first match in IWRG since July, so something is up.

Second match is a rematch from this past Thursday.

CMLL (FRI) 01/20/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Camaleón & Höruz vs Bronco & Inquisidor
2) Pegasso, Rey Cometa, Sensei vs Hooligan, Nitro, Skándalo
3) Estrellita vs Amapola [lightning]
4) Fuego, Sagrado, Sangre Azteca vs Cancerbero, Euforia, Virus
5) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpion, Último Guerrero
6) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Marco Corleone vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

First Arena Mexico matchup of Panther and Felino since the hair match. Semimain is set to be Atlantida vs Guerreros again, but there’s no word on how long Dragon Rojo will be out. Fourth match could be a really good bout of fun people going nowhere (and also Sangre Azteca, who is just going nowhere.)

AULL (SUN) 01/22/2012 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Rayito Mendoza & Shark Boy vs Buitre & Maligno Negro
2) ?, Love Angel, Rey Critsal vs Chico del Barrio, Sol de Oriente, Súper Colt
3) Sádico vs Flamita [AULL Light]
Sadico is the champion.
4) Trauma I & Trauma II vs Ángel o Demonio & Super Crazy and Daga & Judas el Traidor and Chucho el Roto & Iron Love [AULL TAG]
Traumas are the champs.
5) Robin Maravilla, Rocky Santana, Yakuza vs Coco Amarillo, Coco Azul, Coco Rojo [AULL TRIOS]
Santana’s team are the champs.

Three title matches on one show, because that’s just the way AULL does it. Tag titles one seems most likely to change hands.

IWRG (SUN) 01/22/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) ? vs ??
2) ? vs ??
3) Charly Madrid, Dinamic Black, Eragón vs Alan Extreme, Gemelo Fantastico I, Gemelo Fantastico II
4) Golden Magic, Saruman, Tony Rivera vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Black Terry, Eterno
5) Angelico, Negro Navarro, Veneno vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, X-Fly

Maybe Navarro is now a tecnico? Maybe they’re doing an actual X-Fly vs Negro Navarro feud? That would be one amazing title match.

Charly Madrid is a Silver King (?) trainee seen on the Wagner 12/25 special. Unclear if he found out the true meaning of Christmas.

Super Crazy vs XL vs Violento Jack vs Pesdailla in a ladder match for the XNL championship has been added to the DTU/IWL show.
