AAA on Televisa (Regional): 2011-11-26

taped 2011-11-14 @ Lienzo Charro Ignacio León Ornelas, Irapuato

recap

Matches I really liked, and one I didn’t. A lot of large gifs. It was that sort of show.

Clowns being clowns

Mascarita Divina, Mini Charly Manson, Octagoncito vs Mini Monster Clown, Mini Murder Clown, Mini Psycho Clown: Okay mini exhibition. I think I would’ve liked it better if they remembered to have a middle part between all the técnicos doing dives and the rudos winning the match. That seems to be a pattern. Murder is the most clumsy Mini Clown, easily.

not the finish

Joe Lider vs Nicho el Millionario: They did a death valley driver off the top rope to the floor. It was not the finish. Tirantes refused to count for Lider all match, except for the time it was the finish. So dumb. A usual match where everyone does moves to each that we’re supposed to think is a big deal and then they’re back up fine fifteen seconds later and I’m not sure what I’m actually watching. I actually believed Lider was actually hurt here, because he was acting like a man who taken his 24th concussion and was going to get his next one free. Also, I’m not sure if AAA knows this so I want to make it clear, but if you want the image people left with is the heels triumphant because their friends got involved and laid out the faces, you can actually do that as part of your match, instead of doing wrestling matches where your finishes don’t matter in the slightest.

coming soon: el leyenda de fenix torneo

Aerostar, Dr. Wagner Jr., Fenix vs Halloween, Octagón, X-Fly: Much like the universe, X-Fly appears to be constantly expanding. This match was good, but maybe much too long to get where it was going. Octagon as a rudo is not working as well as Parka as a rudo. Everyone else here looked fine, and Fenix fit in well for his first shot this high.

proof it actually happened

El Mesías & Jack Evans vs Chessman & el Hijo del Perro Aguayo: Probably the most professional Perro Aguayo Jr. has looked in quite a long time. He didn’t take the técnico offense as well as Chessman (who does), but it was thoroughly coherent performance with a well done finish. The Jack vs Perro feud may be the best thing Perro’s done since he’s left CMLL. Crowd seemed totally exhausted and wasn’t into the match, but I think the people in did their best to make them care.

  1. Minis match that aired 11/03/11 had the entrances so maybe it is possible it has other camera shots ( I haven’t had a chance to compare).

  2. I don’t like much AAA does but I really think jack Evans / perro can be $$$. Jack is ur typical tecnico with fire and sells well……and if perro has his head on straight can be a huge Rudo draw and raise jack up a level which I think he’s ready for.
