11/05 AAA TV Lineup (Ecatepec)

AAA TV (SAT) 11/05/2011 Centro Civico de Ecatepec, EdM
1) Argenis, Atomic Boy, Relampago vs Decnnis, Mortiz, Tito Santana
2) Casandro, El Brazo, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Nygma, Pasion Kristal, Yuriko
3) Aerostar, Drago, Fenix vs Dark Dragon, La Parka, Súper Fly
4) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Electroshock vs Chessman & Octagón
5) El Mesías & Zorro vs Damián 666 & LA Park

Projected Air Date
Mexico: uh, I’ll get to that in a sec

Interesting lineup! Octagon & Parka are on rudo sides already. It’s going to be interesting to see how that actually works, especially in the semimain. Chessman’s going to be selling  for two, more like it.

If La Parka wants to sit out this match too, I’d be totally OK with it. That could be some real fun if Parka doesn’t over power it.

The exoticos feud actually makes it into a match. Brazo is a logical partner to fill out the trio.

Opener should be good too.

As part of announcing this lineup, AAA announced the schedule for November. The remaining taping for October – 10/30 in Pachuca – appears to have been quietly postponed a month. Perhaps a rescheduling due the TV issues of the last few weeks? They didn’t need as many tapings now.

best guess as TV schedule for the rest of the year

this weekend (alternate channels): best of Heroes Inmortales
11/05 (back to normal channels): Xalapa taping (from 10/21)
11 /12: this Ecatepec taping (11/05)
11/19: Irapauto (taping 11/14)
11/26: San Luis Potosi (taping 11/16; back to back taping means these are probably the next TNA dates)
12/03 and probably 12/10 : Pachuca (taping 11/27, likely double taping)

and Guerra de Titanes, best of episodes and maybe an early December taping take AAA thru the holiday break.

I could be off by one or two weeks, but the really important part is this schedule suggests AAA will air one taping a week. You don’t need four tapings to produce four hours of TV, so either they’ve decided they’re going to cut a lot of stuff, or they believe they have a two hours slot again, starting very soon.

It’s early, but the schedule for next week that I’ve seen says CMLL is back on for an hour, and AAA is back on for the less than hour slot leading into soccer games. Perhaps they’ll be keeping the alternate channel airing in addition to their ‘normal’ slot? Maybe there’s something else going on?

UG/Atlantis, Oro, Tinieblas

CMLL (TUE) 10/25/2011 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Record]

Other News

Yesterday was the 18th anniversary of Oro’s passing. MedioTiempo has a good article about his influence. Oro is one of many luchadors who are featured in a small tribute at Arena Mexico right now, as part of Dia de Muertos celebrations.

Tinieblas Jr. says the production of the FULL show at Palacio de los Deportes will will be better than the [WWE]. He goes on to say OCESA will be organizing these level of events every month or two months from here on out, throughout Mexico. Tinieblas also says he’ll be wrestling on 30 shows thru Mexico as part of the – yes, again – Tinieblas Sr. Retirement Tour. This may be the fourth time Tinieblas has talked about their retirement tour happening over the last couple of years, it’s never happened and everything else said in this paragraph is equally suspect. Hope it’s still a good show: Los Tinieblas and Solar have video promos.

LuchaPOP announced half their teams for the Discipulo de Oro tournament (captains indicated with a c)
Team Black Terry: Centurion (c), Dinamic Black, Saurman
Team Sexi Star: Keira (c), Triton, Terremoto Negro
Team Bello Greco: Super Calo Jr. (c), Maiden, Sepultura
Team Rocky Santana: Iron Love (c), Dante, Tormento

There was no Bello Greco team last time they announced teams.

Ojo Diabolico Jr. rips Heddi Karaoui for not showing up for their singles match at the last IWL show. In passing, it’s mentioned that IWL and Karaoui had some sort of fall out.

Rob has video of Fenix being Fenix.

Lucha Libre in Japan

Strong Man & Tonga are 1-2 in the five match block.

4) Ángel de Oro, Máximo, Toscano vs Felino, Negro Casas, Pólvora
5) La Sombra, Máscara Dorada, Shocker vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero, Volador Jr.

Post-title match regular show. Looks like Luna is back regularly.

CMLL (TUE) 11/01/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Virgo vs Thunder Boy
2) Metatrón & Robin vs Ángel del Mal & Bobby Zavala
3) Dragon Lee, Starman, Stuka Jr. vs Malefico, Ráfaga, Virus
4) Dark Angel, Goya Kong, Marcela vs Amapola, La Comandante, Princesa Blanca
5) Shocker vs Mr. Niebla

Dia de la Muertos show. I guess Comandante is back? I know she was supposed to have a big singles match in REINA, which is probably the monster heel loss on the way out.

No 11/01 Arena Mexico show, but it’s both a fan appreciation show and one where everyone who shows up costumed will get in for 10 pesos (first 10 rows excluded.)

PdM (SUN) 11/13/2011 Plan Sexenal de Cuernavaca
4) American Killer, Oriental, Súper Nova vs Ek Balam, El Hijo del Medico Asesino, Maldito Jr.
5) Bestia 666 vs Eterno, Golden Magic, Tony Rivera [PdM LH]
6) Damián 666, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween, X-Fly vs Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown, Zumbi

Lineup via KrisZ. Should be a TV taping. That feud will never end on Perros del Mal shows, because they have no other feud to go to.

DTU (SUN) 12/11/2011 Arena Lopez Mateos
***Cuatro Cumpleanos***
1) Onita Santana vs Paranoiko
2) Eterno vs Demoledor [hair]
3) Aeroboy vs Drastik Boy [loser must retire from ultraviolent matches]
4) La Hormiga vs Violento Jack [mask, hair]

Fourth anniversary show with more matches to be added, obviously. They’re also promising a surprise Mexican who’s been a star in Mexico, US and Japan (sounds like Super Crazy) and will start at 6PM so the show doesn’t go late in the night.

AAA Heroes Inmortales V: 2011-10-09

taped 2011-10-09 @ Arena Monterrey

match 1, match 2, match 3, match 4, match 5, match 6, match 6

Just like the Anniversary show, Heroes Inmortales delivered what it promised. The difference is Anniversary promised a hair of questionable merit would be lost and needed to deliver more than that. Heroes Inmortales promised Big Things Would Occur, and occur they did. Still, in pure match quality, I think I liked Dragon Lee/Stuka vs Misterioso II/Euforia as much as any thing on this show. Maybe more. I will not soon understand why the first two matches couldn’t have been combined into one somehow and some of AAA’s most exciting wrestlers were left off.
