recap

helicopter-scissors

Eléctrico, Pequeño Halcón, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico: mostly by the numbers, but a decent crew for a buy the numbers match. Demus and Olímpico looked good, younger guys didn’t have much problem, and rudos were fine.

Pegasso & Cometa

Pegasso, Rey Cometa, Sagrado vs Raziel, Virus, Yoshihashi: a Rey Cometa match without Rey Cometa doing a dive! Darn rudos. This was in the perfectly fine but not particularly memorable. Nothing went wrong, which is an achievement given some of the people on this list.

Blue Panther, Héctor Garza, Jushin Lyger vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano: I’m not sure Lyger works as a CMLL técnico in 2011. He doesn’t have the flashy moves and the crowd did not embrace him. It did not turn on him, but he’s much less effective in this role. Otherwise, this was straight cage match build up.

Invasors tide takes out fan

Ángel de Oro, Diamante, Rush vs Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr. for the Mexican National Trios Championship: pretty good. Strong match, with really fast past action thru parts. Técnicos champions never quite felt as much like a team as three individuals, but they kept coming as individuals. Everyone looked good and made other people look good. Kind felt strange that the more complicated finishing sequence between Rush & Volador was the first one, and there was a big near fall problem earlier, but this was a fun match.

  1. Really enjoyed the Mex. Trios titles match. Great looking reversal by Rush at the end of the first fall. Volador/Angel coming out for the 2nd fall flying around, and everyone else following suit set a great pace, with even a beautiful dive by Rush!

Volador Jr. is at another level though.
