Tecnicas took 2/3. Marcela beat Amapola again. Amapola agreed to defend her title vs Amapola next Friday (or so we thought), which would be Marcela’s 13th shot.
3) Diamante, Fuego, Sangre Azteca b Rey Escorpion, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
tecnicos took 2/3, Okumura taking the pin in the third.
4) Hijo del Fantasma b Pólvora [lightning]
Phantom lariat for the win in 5:50.
5) Felino, Mephisto, Negro Casas b Blue Panther, Super Porky, Toscano
Straight falls. Felino tossed a drink in Panther’s face, Negro fouled Panther and Negro pinned him with his feet on the ropes for the win.
6) Atlantis, Jushin Lyger, Shocker b Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero
Mr. Niebla & Zacarias were dressed like the Hulk. Rudos jumped the tecnicos to take the first fall, but the tecnicos took the last 2, Atlantis getting Niebla with a ‘rana in the third.

Another tribute to Dr. X was held before the fourth match.

Other news

Black Terry Jr. has photos of IWL’s show in Queretaro. It looks like they drew poorly. Ciudad y Poder doesn’t have results, but says the show lasted four hours and left a bitter taste.

Variety talks to Lemon Films, which continues to work with AAA about creating a new movie. Choice line: “AAA stages about 400 fights a year, drawing crowds to every single fight of 15,000 to 40,000, not just in Mexico but parts of the U.S., Rovzar told Variety.” Every single show draws 15,000 people?!?!? No date for the film.

Marisela Pena would like Octagon & La Parka to rethink this whole being evil thing. In a CMLL-ish bitter line, Marisela says those two are only famous because of AAA. (Octagon was a star in CMLL.) Marisela also says Dorian’s inexperience is causing errors. Looks to be going well for him right now. Really, instead of playing this as the usual betrayal anger, this should be a crisis of faith situation for the AAA side. If Octagon & Parka have decided they want to be on the other side, you’ve screwed up at the very least, and it may be time to admit you’ve been wrong at the most.
